I wish I could see the Demi/Donnie Mills match later. Donnie is steam rolling world champions right now. I might go ahead and bet his way when he plays Shane some Rack Your Own.
I don't know if the Jody/Jamie match is gonna have part 3 or not. I did figure out a solution, at least one in my head anyway, to help end their rivalry. People play 1 hole by the game all the time. Why not play 9 ball by the game? Maybe $20/game or something around there for their session would work out better for them. That way they know they get paid and only win what they earn. Anyone think that will work?

Interesting idea, but I bet you at least one if not both people will not agree to it. It's not their style. People prefer sets in nine ball plain and simple. A better idea is to POST the money, therefore you will get paid instead of IOUs. If you can't post, you can't play.
An ahead set is by the game to a certain number that you agree to pay out on. If you play by the game the same thing gets accomplished. Just figure out the financials in advance. I don't think either of them would quit very early.

Last nights posting earned me $100.
The reason 1pkt is played by the game normally is because a game can take between 20mins and an hour. 9 ball game can take 30 sec. Thats also why 1pkt is the more skillful game. You gotta work to win those game ... so much fun ! ! !

I'm 9-2 on US Open matches bet on so far, Lil Keith derailed me and Donnie Mills has been a safe bet.
9 ball has skill, play 10 ball if you don't want the break to dominate the games. What difference does time make? You're trying to fade runs with runs. An ahead set and by the game are no different except you pick a mutually agreed upon stopping point. If you also pick a max length of game, you prorate the set by the game. For all intensive purposes if someone won $200 playing 20/game they still had to get 10 ahead to do it.
I also have to disagree about people liking sets as a majority. I feel like I see more $5/game 9-Ball or 10-Ball than anything else. Maybe that's mostly on the big tables though. Takes longer to get the money but also harder to lose it right back, that's whats nice about by the game.

True, you do have to make your balls. Sometimes people get lucky and rack themselves bad enough to make a ball on break though. 1 pkt is an acquired taste. It's hard to get into and appreciate when it's not played at a world class level IMO.
So....when are we gona have a 1pk tournament? I'm sure there would be enough people to make it interesting....

I agree with that Brad. In its entirety on how to make the game up. Only day i think they could play play would be like saturday but who knows with jodys schedule he seems to be working a lot.
