thats a great cue. my only critizim is painting the cue(sorry Mr. Neighbors for calling it painting  ) the whole way down to the bottom over the black ring. the finish will chip in time.
If you look carefully at a pic thet Tikkler posted og a Gus and a Bushka hoppie cue you can tell they stopped at the bottom of the white. I have a couple hoppies that Gus built that he painted th to bottom, one has a couple chips the other one is unplayed for the most part. It just dosent work because the finish WILL chip eventually.
I have a GSB hoppie it was posted here that I have played alot with and it doesnt have any finish on the black bottom ring. Barry stopped it short. I dont know of he cut the ring a hair bigger so the transition from finish to no finish feels smooth. but I firmly believe thats they correct way for any cue maker to paint a hoppie cue. No chips, dings or dents on the bottom 1/4". I will ask Barry how he did it and when i see the cue again i'll measure it. I talked to him about this once he agreed with me and said thats the right way, but I dont know if he compensated for the thickness of the finish when he is making ht final cut on the heal(heel) of the cue.
I cant wait to get my cue from Tony, I didnt say anything that I can remember here, but I did order one from Tony after seeing Ross's cue on tony's site. Ross thinks I'm a stalker now. all I want is my $5

. I like to support pool and cue makers, so I ordered one from Tony. I wish I was making $$$ I'd order from other guys, i will in time.
-its cool to support pool-
