GUS SZAMBOTI Rosewood/Rosewood.. Just makes ya Happy

Hey AZer's,
This is the Happy Cue...
Just makes you tingle...
So nice I've owned it twice..
Barry and I think this is the nicest contrasting Rosewood/Rosewood cue Gus made. If you been lucky enough to have see others, you'd notice they are mostly very dark and the outside black veneers is hard to see..
Gus fans enjoy this rare piece of Art..

LOL... Too predictable...

Nice cue.

Not only does this cue have some gorgeous contrast between the two
awesome rosewoods, its got class and character. I think it
may be my favorite Gus that I've seen to date. Each and
every aspect of this cue (the rosewoods, the veneers, the Szam factor) makes it truly
desireable to just about anyone. And the fact that you've owned it twice
really shows how special the cue is. Owning a cue once shows you like it but
obviously it holds a special place in your eye and an even more special
place in your heart if you track it down with the sole
purpose of getting it back. Each and
every one of us should be so lucky to have such a
rare beauty in our possession.

I think this post nailed what I meant... I've come to expect big posts from you...

Thanks for the nice words..
I've been lucky to be able to get the chance twice of owning this cue.
The cue has a simple elegance to it. Just strenghtens my thoughts of Gus' genius.

Ross,
Thanks for the nice words also..

Ken,
Its just not fair. You have shown off so many
seriously big cues already. Now you post a rosewood on rosewood
Szam???!!!

Are you trying to make us all jealous over here?? If
so, its working! :-) This cue is HOT!!! The bright yellow veneers really
show the contrast in two beatiful pieces of rosewood. Great cue!!!

Hi Mia,
I don't post too much in the Gallery, but when I do I'd like to make it something the AZer's would enjoy.
Thanks for the nice words.

Ken

bump and a question

Love looking at this cue so bumping it back to page one.

If you been lucky enough to have see others, you'd notice they are mostly very dark and the outside black veneers is hard to see..

Also have a question. Did Gus always put a black veneer on the outside even with a darker rosewood forearm (darker than this forearm). I would think a taller colored veneer would pop even more.

All the Rosewood/Rosewood cues I've seen have the black veneer on the outside. It is very difficult to see in most.
That's the reason this cue is unique.

Ken
