An ugly 70

Well, I went down the basement simply to pick up my coat that I left there. I racked up the balls and started hitting them around. I made a few and missed a few, then with4 balls left I ran out 70.

Natrually, no camera on. LOL, maybe a good thing. It was an ugly ending. Here is how the end went ..

So a clean 44 and some dumb luck on the end to keep going. :shrug:

Ugly or not, you got there !

when things got rough, you stuck it out and kept on motoring.

Good shooting, you should add that to the 2009 run challenge before the year is up !

If truth be told, I doubt that any of us has ever run even to 20 with out some luck involved. That is one of the things that makes this game so beautiful. You have to accept the rolls good and bad. Some days you're the dog and some days you're the hydrant.:cool:

Great story and even greater run!

Most of us have never been even close to a 70 ball run..... lucky or otherwise!
 
I got into the 2nd rack twice yesterday and was feeling good about it until I saw this post:mad:

Where did you hit the rack to pocket the ten??? I have hit that shot once, but it comes up alot.

If you look at the third frame of the diagram and picture the position of the cue ball after a stop shot, I just smashed the 11 ball using the total "give up" stroke! Of course I'd never consider playing a shot like that in a game where my opponent is capable of putting me in the seat for any period of time. I was just plain old pissed off, smashed it, and the thing went in like a missile. :)
