If your cues have EVER been damaged because of the case you use, post your story here

Do you suppose you could get us a Ustream presentation on that vacuum?

Sure - as soon as we go into final production on the vacuum. I have been in negotiations all morning with the country of Haiti to produce these. As you probably know, Haiti is the leading and most advanced country when it comes to vacuum technology.

Ustream sounds like a great idea. I think people will be truly shocked when they see what is found on the inside of their pool cases that could potentially damage their cues. For their $800 cue, not only do they need a quality $600 protective case but also a $900 thermo molecular nuclear vacuum with enough suction to clean out the particles inside the case. I think everyone will understand the benefit of spending $1500 total to protect their $800 investment. I have a $35K automobile and I put a $10K alarm on it that has motion detection, gps, kill switch, video surveillance and once a year I get included an attack dog for a week that I tie to the bumper during high crime season.. I pay a detail shop $250 a week to keep it new car clean. I take it to the dealer and spend $120 an hour to have it looked at when a computer generated service light goes off every 10,000 miles. Plus I spend $3K a year in insurance to protect it. It all makes sense.

Years ago, my playing parter and I were on a way to a tournament in Ecstacy.....well, my shaft was extremely protected....warm, tight, it could move in only one direction.....back in the day, we were younger and could take longer trips.....after about an hour, we were almost there.....she had actually gotten there twice before on this same trip, must have been something to do with the time/space continual.....anyway, we were almost to climax near the top of the mountain.....and then, as we arrived in downtown Ecstacy, she reclined and tried to lay back.....she knew full well that my shaft would not bend that direction while in the case, it almost snapped.....luckily, as it started to bow, I shifted directions and avoided any permanent damage.....the shaft is still with me today, tried and true, and excellent shape....

These days, I carry a Vincitore.....it's cheap, well made, excellent protection....

I have played pool in many places across the U.S.....in my early days, I had a goal to play in as many different places as possible....I also wanted to try out as many cases as possible to see which ones were the best....

Watchez, you seem to be very NCIS today....what's with the third degree?

What duh.....!?!

from a 747 at 35,000 ft. When I found it, not a scratch on it. THANKS JOHN BARTON!!!!!

So many questions, so little space....

1. Where was it that it fell from? Inside the pane? On a wing?
2. How did you see it fall?
3. When you did see it fall, did you...A. Scream B. Faint. C. Get tazered so as to calm down and not frighten the other passengers.
4. How in the name of "Where's Waldo?" did you ever find it?
5. At 35,000 ft, what or who else "fell" out?

We need to hear "The rest of the story"! Please. :)

Read his story again and don't take it so serious. Funny one Big Perm :)

This is serious. Haven't you been listening to John Barton. Haven't you read the 132 pages previously posted on this discussion. Haven't you seen the Ustream. This involves physics. This involves mechanics. This is a global issue (Hello China).

Terry Ardeno gets it.

you did it now. I'm too afraid to leave my house with my cue now lest anything happens to it. (HAH! got to use lest in a sentence for the first time this year!!!!)

Some posters are funny hee-hee and some posters are funny ha-ha!
Personally, I like and respect John Barton. And after reading post #176 here, (http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?p=2146395#post2146395) I like Jack Justice's style also.

I can honestly say NONE of the below CASES. EVER CAUSED DAMAGE to a Cue I had in it!!

John Winger: God, I'm worried about you.
Russell Ziskey: Come on! I'm in good shape, I'm walking tall, I'm looking good. First weekend in Europe.
John Winger: Yeah. We're spending it in an airplane hangar... guarding a truck!
Russell Ziskey: We've got each other.

1st time ever...

when i started back playing almost a year ago now...
i ordered 2 custom cues, and needed a new, bigger case.
i bought a 3/6 porper, that required the cue butts going in pin-first. after a week, i realized that i had scratches on the finish of my new cues. come to find out...the felt-covered holes that i slid them into, were rubbing them on those areas and scratched them up.
needless to say, i immediately bought another new case, a 3/5 with springloaded sleeves for the butts.
i have owned these porper cases before, and never had this problem. so this was a 1st ever experience for me. i now look at these things more closely, as it has never even come to mind before.

Nice dog. Has he ever chewed on your pool case and was there any damage to your cues?

she did chew on my case once...caught her before she got to a cue though...I wonder if she did if they'd replace the cue for me!

and she is a sweetheart...

My first custom case caused deep severe scratches on the butt plates on couple of my custom cues. I contacted the case maker about this and he had me send the case back to him so I could see what was causing this. What he found out there was a 1/16" drill bit broken off in the bottom of my case. I he paid for the refinish of my cues with no questions asked. So he made everything right with me.

So who was the casemaker?? We don't get a chance to give attaboys on here. Spill it.

By the way, there are quite a few nice peaks in DFW....you should see some of the chicas on the OB Cues Tour

I once had a case that hurt my shaft, but a quick shot cleared it right up.....

Yep, an old Brunswick case would scratch the linen grip. The rivets for the handle weren't knocked down.
