I will be in Wisconsin and Minnesota all of Dec. and Jan. Once I've been back here it has been amazing the results players are having that learned Perfect Aim. Players here are winning tournaments that had trouble getting there before. I've heard one good story after another. It's been fun hearing how Perfect AIM has improved so many players games and so rapidly. The best part is they were so surprised at how quickly the great results are happening.

We're still selling videos and lessons are going even better than ever. If you are from Minn or St Paul or the surrounding area just give me a call and I will set you up with a time.

Hi there Scott,

Many of the players from the Twin Cities area never got a video with their Perfect Aim lesson if it was before May 2009. When I run into these players in person, which I have alot lately, I just give them the new video. FREE.:grin-square:

I will be at CR's this wed. I have 3 lessons that day. From 12:00 until 7:00 I will be there. If you can get there I will just give you one. If not you can still get it through the mail.

PM your address to me and I will get you one sent out.

Thanks again Geno......................

I left the place to get out of the smoke. I came back and the final match was going. I played some later but the smoke had already taken it's toll and it was too late. It usually takes me 3 to 4 days to feel halfway human after getting a good dose of second hand smoke from a poolhall.

I'm doing a Perfect Aim seninar in Ashland in Feb and one of the requirements is the room will have no smoking. It looks right now that there will be 50 to 75 people and players there. I can't imagine half of them with a lit cig and me there for 8 hours or so.

If you want take advantage of my offer to call me on the phone. I have helped so many players with a simple call to understand how to help their game better with Perfect Aim.

I'm spending today helping a friend pull the heads on my brothers car. Feel free to call me anytime today while you are at a pool table and I'll run you through some of the techniques that will have you getting the most from your perfect Aim experience.

I'll be waiting for your call. Have a great day geno......715-563-8712:thumbup:):)

Hi Tom,

I hope you read this message this morning. We are snowed in over here in Wisconsin. It probably isn't any better in Minn. I tried your number but I must have written it down wrong.

I'm not going to try and drive there today for the lessons at Shooters.

Sorry about that Geno...........:frown::mad::rolleyes:

? 4 Geno, when you got teach at someone Room, do most HOUSES Let you Teach FOR FREE, or do you have to give a Percentage of Lesson Cost, and or DVD's SALES Back for the privilege of use their facility.

I am asking the question as our Rec. Center is looking in to such a policy change, as they now take 10% thing of 25%.

Hi there Cowboy,

When I go to a new room I tell the owner what I'm doing. By now almost everywhere I go they know about Perfect Aim. I tell them that I will bring some new players into their place and I will teach the players that go there some good stuff that will help them improve their game very quickly. If they shoot better they will want to play more. It's just human nature. The better you are at something the more apt you are to do it more.

I tell the person that runs it I will give a few free lessons to a couple of his favorite customers so it will spread the word faster and it does. I usually go to a room and maybe give 4 or 5 lessons the first week. The next week is double and the week after that is usually really full.

Some places would charge the player getting the lesson table time but most of them would provide free time for the lesson. Provided I'm not doing it during prime time when their real busy.

Also my time would be free so I could play with their customers and give them a few free tips and talk to them about the Perfect Aim lesson. Plus it would help me stay in stroke.

Most of the poolhalls I couldn't get them to take my money. They could see how much I was trying to help pool and help players with their games.

Some rooms I set them up as a distributor so they could sell the videos there after I left. Then they would make a %.

All the teachers out there that are teaching pool are not only trying to make a little money but are really trying to help players games. The info and help they provide is huge to these players. It's tough enough with all the exspenses out there.

If the players play better they will want to play more. What they learn they will want to practice. What better place to practice other than this pool hall right here. A win, win situation for the poolroom and the players.

Have a great day Geno............

Well thank for the reply, if you ever come to OUR COMMUNITY ROOM, they will TAKE PART OF your LESSON FEE, or DVD's Sales. now it is 10%, they are think of making it 25%.

I'd think that most poolroom owners would be fine with the student paying his table time as it's business for them. As long as you are not interfering with other players, giving lessons would be fine with most, I'd think.

Not sure why you should have to give a % of your lesson fee or DVD sales unless, they got they recruited the student for you. In that case, giving a % would make sense.

That is the way it has been where I live for as long as I can remember, and that is that. We have several people who are allowed to teach in the room, the student pays the CENTER, the Center TAKE their CUT, and pay the Instructor 90% BY CHECK.

Our is a Private Facility, and apprently if people are making money off their EQUIPTMENT. They want a cut.

Free Instruction where no money is being made is allowed.

So, since they aren't making anything at 10%, they think they can remedy that by charging 25%? Good thinking.

That's the dumbest thing in the world unless the room is finding the students. If someone wants to learn something and they call me (hypothetically) - I'll pay the room their table time. That's it.

That's as stupid as someone wanting to buy my cue while I was playing and the room owner ran a 4.5 40-yard-dash to my table to "demand" that I pay him 25% of whatever I sold the cue for -- as his commission. I told him to piss off. Why wouldn't I just step outside 20 feet and do the deal anyways? Maybe I'm wrong... I just think that's what table time is for (unless the room is producing the event).

People make $$$ on the room's equipment everyday - it's called gambling. I never throw anyone a cut unless they stayed open for me.

I'm sure glad we don't all think like Cocopuffs!

I agree with ya Dave & Roger... Coco's response is no surprise. Typical Cocopuff logic:groucho:

Geno answered the question, and that is all I wanted a reply. Now we can return to Geno thread about Perfect Aim in Wisc /Minn Dec & Jan .

Point well taken...........

Hi there,

That Spidey does have a great way of getting his point across.

While traveling across the US playing and giving lessons I have to say that most of the poolroom owners were great. Many of these owners are pretty smart and have to be to survive in business. They can see the importance of what is being learned and want to do everything they can to help the players also and build and promote their business.

I can't wait to get back on the road again. I never lost that passion all these years to travel and play pool.

In the meantime, I'm staying pretty busy in Minneapolis/St Paul playing and giving lessons just the same. And with the same great results.

Have a great day and thanks for the wit.... geno.............

I get your point. But I can also see it being a little more complicated than this. Suppose, for instance, you advertised on your website "I'm Spide the instructor, and I give lessons at Q-master Billiards." Now Qmaster is a well established billiard place, and you could be benefiting from an implied endorsement of your instruction. Also, if you do a lousy job, Qmaster could get a blemish for it.

For these reasons I can imagine an instructor having a conversation with a room and maybe working something out.

If it's a really popular and highly regarded instructor and a room in need of a little life, I could even imagine a bit of jelly going the other way.

Anyway, it would be good generally if rooms were welcoming to traveling instructors. They bring new ideas and stimulate conversation and get the blood flowing...
