10 Ball may be the game of choice for the professional players because it is more difficult (I'm still not sure that it is the general consensus of opinion amongst them), but I think the professional players should realize that 9 BALL may be in THEIR best interest to support because that is what TELEVISION seems to prefer. If the players are ever going to make decent money consistently, it is TELEVISION advertising that will make it happen.

I am not sure 9-ball is what television prefers, I think in reality 8-ball would be the most popular for the general public that pool needs to attract. IMO Rotational pool will never make this game popular, but at least 10-ball does not make the sport gimmicky with radar guns, break boxes, and racking the balls in odd positions.
