DRAW-Angle in =Angle out?

In general-on a draw shot that is not straight in- but a shallow angle cut (15 degrees?)- can you expect the cb to draw back at a similar mirrored angle after striking the OB?

Hit with speed-how can you accurately predict how far down the tangent line the cb will travel before the draw takes?

Is there a rule of thumb that you use/or do you just practice with different speeds and distances to get comfortable with the shot?

Thanks

Assuming equal masses it would depend upon the felt condition.

Same rules apply. More speed=less time for spin to grab=longer Tangent line.

Dr. Dave's trisect method helps to identify this. There is a short video in the Videos section of the forum that illustrates this principle.

Wrong again

Thanks-I found the trisect chapter. I was only wrong by a factor of two. That's improvement.

Dr Daves website looks like it is full of good information. I appreciate the steer.

yep its dead on, if you follow the CB its going to swing more toward B, if you draw the CB is going to bend more toward A. I use this often to hit where I need on the first rail for multi rail kicks.

Those little tight shots are what we all ways called "clip" shots. You can clip the OB with the CB and using english hold whitey from making tracks around the table.

Learning those angles are really strong for 8 ball and one pocket and can really power your 9 ball game up on the bar box.

happy new years....2010!!!!
