Found book today called "Mosconi on Pocket Billiards"....Printed in 1975....condition minty....someone tell me if it has any value.....Fat albert

I don't believe its really worth much I've seen like new ones go for 40-60+/- and used ones can be obtained for $20 or less, but his autobiography called Willies Game I've seen go for upwards of a hundred depending on the condition and the signed ones go for quite some more.

Pretty solid book too if you ever get the chance to read it.

Only original copies of the red book, (his first instructional book), are worth a couple of bucks.

Sounds like you have his second instructional book, being that it was from '75. Is he wearing a baby blue blazer with a Brunswick logo on it, throughout the book? If so, it's the second book, and probably not worth too much.

You have the "little red book". Mine is the thirty-third printing, 1979. Originally published in 1948. The first printing might be worth something but I wouldn't count on it in today's market.
It should list the printing on the copyright page.
The second book is Winning Pocket Billiards.

does a book by willie mosconi on pocket billiards have any value? hmmm...yes this book is very valuable. i ran across 1 in a used book store mint 10 year ago or so for a buck. i wouldn't sell it for twice, thrice or whatever that price.

That would be the 29th or 30th printing, so there are a lot of them in circulation. As someone else pointed out, the value is in the text, not the book.

That book was originally published by Ziff-Davis as a hardback in 1948, and those copies can go for $30 or more if in good condition. Later editions like yours were published in paperback by Crown at least into the 1990s.

A signature would help the value. An autographed copy of the paperback would be worth about $30.

I had an early 70's Autographed one. I cared about the collectible value of the book, but I care more about the person to whom I gave it as a gift, and as you say,the content in the book is what's valuable.
