I have bought products from Chris and Lee and have been satisfied with each.
I like the fact that there is more than one source for alot of the products that we use to build cues.
A monopoly on the market only benefits one person and it is not me.
Just my two cents worth.
Ditto here ... I think both guys are good fellas.
Dennis has the upper hand in cue making experience and knowledge.
Lee is a master machinist with a modern machine shop at his disposal.
Both have a love for the craft and a sincere desire to help others.
I can only imagine what wonderful products they could produce if they would ever work together in a joint venture.
Sure ... I can see the similarity's in their lathes.
Much like a Grizzly lathe looks like a Jet lathe or many other lathes.
Lets face it ... if you buy parts from Taig to build a lathe then they are going to look something alike.
Chris has needed to address some improvements to his equipment for years. Lord knows enough people have requested many things.
DC drive was just one of them.
It was only a matter of time before someone else picked up the ball and made some of those improvements.
If there are real patent infringements then there is legal remedy and I am sure the courts can iron them out.
If there are NO legal infringements then what is the deal here?
Cue makers have been copying each other for decades.
Innovation and competition benefits us all.
