Jerry Rauenzahn Cue F/S

I snagged this cue off of ebay to try one of Jerry's cues and am very impressed. As most of you who know me are aware, I love to work with (or harass :p) cue makers on designs of my own. So, now I'd like to sell this one and get with Jerry on something he builds for me.

Specs:
58.25" (end of meaty tip to bottom of buttcap)
19.7 oz. (15.85 butt and 3.85 shaft)
12.9 mm shaft that is remarkably clean, but with some bluing
melamine ferrule, unknown tip

Forearm is 4 points with four veneers into lightly figured birdseye maple. The ebay auction said it had ebony points and sleeve, but it looks like a dark rosewood to me. He also said the veneer colors are ebony/green/orange/white (outside in), but I would say the second veneer is yellow and the inside veneer is natural.

Sleeve is the same wood as the points, with two black/orange veneer index rings and a milky white delrin buttcap with Jerry's -R- logo.

Cue has a lightly textured leather wrap with nice seam-work. **EDIT** There are two small scuffs on the wrap that I didn't see until I boxed up the cue for the first buyer. I disclosed them to the buyer and he decided to pass on the cue. I apologize for not including them in the original listing. **

The joint is 5/16-14 piloted stainless steel and has the same stitch rings as the sleeve.

The cue has been played, with bluing on the shaft, one ding (about the size of a match head) on the sleeve that looks to be through the finish, and two minor forearm dings (not through the finish). Overall, though, it is in good shape and plays very well.

Factoring in the condition of the cue, I'm asking $550 shipped and insured to the U.S. Foreign buyers would pay actual shipping to their country. No trades please. Thanks.

Scott

WOW
Thats a great price for an -R- cue. Shouldn`t last long at all Scott.
I wish I had the extra cash. GL with your sale but you shouldn`t be holding it very long at that price.

Jerry made two of these for me - this is an exact copy of a GUS (more info available) See the 3 different thicknesses of the veneers?

(Assuming the cue looks like your pics, not the ones on Ebay - big diff in color balance)

A SUPER player here, folks.

Very nice Scott

I am waiting for a new one probably next week or this would be sold. Jerry would probably only charge $150 to refinishit and send it back. It ould be about $1,100.00 with one shaft new.
Nick :)

I thought about that, Nick. But decided that a new owner could choose whether to refinish. Me.... I kinda like the "played" feel. Like a cue should be, right?

Cue is back on the market. Please see the original post for the reason.

I have started contacting the people who were interested, in the order I received PM's from them. But, I also want to bump the thread to disclose the new info on the cue.

Agreed also. Great deal. Sorry though Scott, I have to back out on my wanting to buy. I picked up a Jim Baxter cue when you said this one was sold. Best of luck w/ the sale..

Thanks for the heads-up. I will take your name off the list.

Shane, I feel like I should let the people who originally committed have first shot. I know you are good for it and hopefully you can give me a few days to straighten everything out. Thanks.
