Club memership

Ya know something, Jeff? Your post really sucks.

First, you need to get the story straight; you PM'd me out of the blue to ask that I join the AZB club. I politely declined and said "I have my reasons, I respect your views, please respect mine". Then, you take that and twist it, per your post above.

Secondly, is it really a cool thing that you are harassing members via PM and blatant posts on this forum?

I realize that you do a decent amount of business on AZB, through the website/forum and sell lots of stuff. Could it be that you feel that if you harass enough forum members to pay for a membership, that it would justify all the sales that you do on AZB without PAYING FOR ADVERTISEMENT? Perhaps you should be paying for a banner or buying advertisement??

Eric >telling it like it is
Unfortunately I no longer have the PM that we exchanged. But I can assure the rest of the forum that it is you that is twisting the story.
I asked you to stop using the club membership banner as your avatar and also told you there was no such thing as a club like member.
If you want to sport the membership banner you should donate not fake it.
I find absolutely nothing funny  in what you are doing.:frown:
As far as my sales on here trust me I am not making nearly enough to afford banner ad or buying advertising.
I do it as more of a service to my fellow members to help them make an extra buck. If you notice most of my for sale threads are geared toward multiple purchase for resale.
I can understand occasional visitors not being club members but any one who uses this sight on a regular basis should donate. Especially the ones that use the For Sale, Trade, WTB, Action or NPR sections. As well as the Rep game people and the prolific posters. Those are extra perks that Mike provides.

Joining the AZ Club is voluntary, not a requirement.

Agreed .. who the frak cares one way on another??? Those that can, do .. those that can't or won't, don't .. who gives a shitt. Some people sure likes to ride high and mighty for $35 per year.

There are more important things in life to get bent out of shape aboot <my Canadian accent for 2010 Winter Olympics>

There are several people with "club like" banners in their avatar, it's no secret, been done by many people for a long time. Joining the AZ Club is voluntary, not a requirement.
Tommy Please PM me who so I can make sure they get removed also.
I believe if Club Members support the forum then the forum needs to return that support. Simulated  Club Membership should not be tolerated.

Agreed Club Membership is voluntary we just need more volunteers.:help::ok:
Just maybe it might help keep the forum free of pop ups. :idea2:

I do. Would you like me to post it and see who got the story wrong?? Further more, stop sending me UNSOLICITED PM's. You're not someone I care to chat with.

I asked you to stop using the club membership banner as your avatar and also told you there was no such thing as a club like member.
And who are you, the hall monitor around here?

If you want to sport the membership banner you should donate not fake it.
I don't think like you; the last thing I care about is "faking" a corny club thing to feel like I belong

I find absolutely nothing funny  in what you are doing.:frown:
Too bad, live with it.

Once again, maybe the forum should focus on posters with over 50+ some odd sales. If youre doing business thru AZB, perhaps you should PAY FOR ADVERTISING.

Eric >and stop harassing viewers

On second thought, Jeff, let me just be a big boy and drop this.

If you could see me right now, I'm basically giving you the finger, with a smirk on my face.

Adios.

Well, right back at you, No flaming here.
I have no problem with you other than you are thumbing your nose at those who choose to support the forum throug Club Membership.
I ask you once again to reconsider the lack of humor in using the banner as your avatar.
Hey join up and I got no problem with it. :grin-square::smile:
Then it would be funny.:cool::grin-square:

Eric >does anyone remember laughter?

When something is funny we don't need to "remember" laughter.

I just don't find your choice of avatar funny and I am not alone. I find that it mocks the purpose of the "club membership" which is to boost the revenue that keeps the site going.

Maybe you can explain the joke to us non-comedians who don't get it?

I mean it's cool with me if you want to just add content here and be a part of the community and not contribute financially. But I don't get the sarcasm in your choice of avatar. If it's not mocking the people who do choose to pay, including the many who don't transact on this site, then what is it for?

I hope you find a way to to get over it, Jeff.

Eric >lolol

I think a couple of guys called Hitler and Himmler tried implementing a similar strategy over in Germany a few years back... Don't quite remember how that one turned out, though... You might be onto something.

Perhaps you should design a chic red armband for members to wear and choreograph a dignified salute for members to salute.

Perhaps nonmembers should be forced to wear a yellow star, or better yet, why not just make them dump cans of yellow paint over their own heads?

This, Sir, sounds like a plan.

Equating the Nazi persecution of Jews with the badgering to join as a member is really overkill.....Yes I know it was in jest....but it was also in bad taste.....IMHO

Post Up

Please either change your avatar or post up the donation.
:p:oink::nono::crying::kma::bash::nanner: I am starting to feel better already. :rolleyes:With a smirk.:cool:

I truly apologize if you were offended by my post. No such equation was intended.

Although cloaked in jest, I was in fact issuing a stern admonition, a serious attempt at highlighting the poisonous mentality that drives a climate of coercion, alienation, and fear and it's effects when left unchecked on a grand scale.

We need to, at times, glance into the extreme in order to better put our present situation into perspective.

Again, I'm sorry to have offended you. It was not my intention. My foot is in my mouth.

Why are there so many people making $$$$, by selling&trading on this wonderful site and they don't support it.I have a list of over 15 people just this morning who have sales and trades of 10 or more that are not club members.Just got to say that is pretty sad.I think I am going to continue with my list of the top 100 and soon post it.----I'll keep in touch.

It helps to encourage club membership, but honestly, this approach isn't the way to do it. In fact, you may be helping to build resistance to joining from some of the veterans.

Just remember that internet forums are traditionally free - so that's the culture and mindset. Although I joined the club because I think it's good for the site and I want to help support AZ and Mike H. in his efforts, there are many members who chose not join but contribute greatly to the site with useful information and ideas. Then you have some people who don't have paypal, credit cards, etc.

Chris

One sugestion would be with one year membership offer like a tshirt or something. Just a little incentive.

Cool

Like the site and able to support with a membership. Cool

Make money on the site and choose to support with a membership. Smart business to keep a good image, Cool

Like the site and not financially able to support. Cool, support via number of visits.

Like the site, money to support but choose not to. Cool, still adding to number of visits.

Hate the site and support with a membership. Weird but Cool

Make money here and don't support with a membership. Control costs in capitalism, Cool.

Like the site, no membership but add a club like avatar. Again a bit weird, but still Cool.

Complain about any of the above. Uhhh.... Relax, go hit some racks.

I'm the first group, but all the above all OK with me as long as the site owner and mods are Cool with it.

Rackem,

I just want to confess - Eric is a freind of mine and I made that "Club a Member" avatar for Eric in my photo program - partly in humerous satire because of his affinity for getting into scraps here.

He probably partly just used it because he didn't want to hurt my feelings.

Anyway - it was meant as a joke. I was pleased that he put it to use, but I assure you it was all lighthearted fun.
