Tough times

I know what you are going thru, selling your cues are difficult. I know how much it would have meant to you meeting the man. I had the pleasure last summer. I spent 2-3 hrs in the shop with him. I would tell you that if at all possible, keep the cue. keep your memory of a special man alive. I am not trying to take anyone's chances of owning such a great cue. But for someone that needs to hold on to their connection to such a person, I think is the most important thing. Again, if money is needed, then do what you have to do. I wish the best in feeling that the cue is more than just a investment but sentimental and stories to behold.

I appreciate the comments. Money isnt needed. I just dont deal with death very well. I avoid funearls at all costs. And as far as sentimental, I definitely have an attachment to it but I am tired of reliving emaotions every time I see my case. This may be kind of sad to say but I have actually pulled the cue out and just sat there holding it wishing things were different. Thanks.

David's a great guy to deal with and I know this must hurt. I know what you're feeling. I have spent some time lately looking at and shooting with my cues that Mike has worked on or made and have felt the same way.

That being said, re-think this David. Put it away somewhere and don't look at it for a while. I think somewhere down the road you'll be glad to have a reminder of a man such as Mike. One of these days you'll pull it out and it will bring you happier feelings.

After much deliberation and the OVERWHELMING support I received on this cue I have decided to keep it. I guess I had a moment of weakness and succombed to my emotions. I will just have to put it where I cant see it until a time comes where I can see it and not be filled with emotion. Thanks to all and stay well.

Very impressive...

That was a very impressive display of good advice and emotional support. Not one person tried to steal the cue from you. Keep it and enjoy it in good health. These are the things that keep positive memories alive. My hats off to all who provided such kind caring advice...
