i have a couple of cues i want to make lighter they have steel with the
allen head bumper screw are there a plastic bolt i can use.

Go to the hardware stores plumbing section. They sell plastic 3/8-16 bolts for holding on toilet seats. That size fits most.

Really? I didn't know that. Gotta get me some. I'm tired of my seat sliding around on the toilet bowl. :rolleyes: When it comes to some things, Dick can really learn it to ya...

sung, when we talked the other day, you didnt know i was a plumber for 30 years , did ya? cut yourself a thin piece of rubber, like gasket material, to put between the bowl & plastic hinge. it'll bite better in the long run. the better toilet seats came with rubber washers.

or the carpet tape as terry said above will work too

can you remove the bolt completely and reinstall bumper differently?
shorten the weight bolt to just enough so you can use the existing bumper screw?
