THIS IS A GORGEOUS CUE IN PESON. EBONY NOSE AND BUTT, BURL POINTS AND RING IN THE BUTT. VERY NICE VENEER WORK ON THE POINTS. LIZARD PRINT LEATHER, AND A MATCHING JOINT PROTECTOR FOR THE BUTT. BUTT HAS A SLIGHT ROLL, BUT IS IN VERY NICE CONDITION. CUE COMES WITH (2) SHAFTS. SHAFT 1 IS 4.0 OUNCES AND 12.4mm SHAFT 2 IS 3.6 OUNCES AND 12.1mm

Very nice looking choice of woods Paul used in this cue, If the shafts would have been 13,m,m I would be on it .Someone buy this befor I change my mind, And by the way is that aa Cape Water Buffalo horn ferrule on the one shaft that he puts on cues once in awhile. Good luck with your sale..:thumbup:

My old cue

I designed this cue with Paul a few years back. The darker shaft is his old growth shaft and if I remember correctly he used his billiard taper on the shafts to give a slightly stiffer hit. The darker of the two shafts was one of his old growth shafts. I put the buffalo horn ferrule on to try something different. This is a grea buy, was a little over 1100 new, think I still have on of the shaft JP's laying around. Good luck with the sale!
 
Paul Dayton Cues

I really like the way my Paul Dayton cues plays.
This looks like a terrific deal.
 
I have played with a Dayton before and have even met Paul in person. His cues play lights out and if the shafts were at least 12.7mm I would own this cue.

Awesome cue - I think the shaft size is what is killing everyone (including me). it is 600.00 + price of new shafts from Paul at 125 - 150 ea (guessing)

THE SHAFT SIZE IS WHY THE CUE IS PRICED WHERE IT IS. THIS CUE FROM PAUL WOULD BE 1500 (EASY) SO IF IT'S BOUGHT FOR 600, AND 2 NEW SHAFTS ARE MADE, YOU HAVE A GREAT CUE, WITH THE SHAFT SIZES YOU WANT, AND THE TAPER YOU WANT FOR UNDER 1k FROM A VERY QUALITY CUE BUILDER.

P.S. IT'S EVEN BETTER FOR GUYS THAT USE PREDATOR SHAFTS. THEY JUST HAVE TO HAVE COLLARS CHANGED.

Wow!! That is a great question, Marcus. This is a BEAUTIFUL cue at a give-away price. I have seen folks pay more for a sneaky. I mean, ebony forearm, burl points, old-growth shaft, and the quality of a Paul Dayton build...IMO, this is the best deal on AZB right now..

As for shaft sizes, tons of players are playing with Z shafts, etc at 11.75mm. These Dayton shafts would play just as well or better than those aftermarket shafts.

Wow! 6 for this cue? WTF?

A Dayton plain 4-pt BEM with no veneers goes for that!
(I should know - I have one and it's an incredible player!)
