Interesting. There must be several times more ppl out there who play 8-ball, but 9-ball voters are voting here en masse. Must be some kind of pride issue :)
 
I prefer full rack games. First pick whould have to be 14.1. Unfortunately not many players on Oahu for that or 1 hole. Main game here is 9 ball and rotation helps for obvious reasons.
 
The only leagues in my hometown run 8 ball, so that's my game. However, if there were dedicated 9 ball leagues, I'd be alllll over it.
 
My choice is 14.1 whenever possible, though I've played a great deal more eight-ball in my life. For some reason I've never had a real fondness for nine-ball and I don't know why but that's just me; I don't dislike it but given a choice I'd take 14.1 any day.

only playing leagues isn't good for your game imo. leagues are real fun but if you wanna get better you've gotta get out there and play the best players you can find.
 
Einstein nine (aka one pocket nine)is the game of choice right now. I am quite addicted to it and so is everybody else who have taken the time to get to know it.

For my area, that means league. I play in an independently run 8 ball league, and the competition is pretty tough.
