This is my IMHO, so do not make me the public enemy #1. Opinion comes from 20 years of playing Russian Pyramid and 15 years of playing pool. I also build cues, but mostly for Russian Pyramid.
I do not think it is fair to compare Dmitriy’s work to any big or small name of the pool industry. Not fair to the guys in the pool industry, that is. Dmitriy builds cues for Russian Pyramid. He uses the same style full splice. Now, I do not know how many here know what Russian Pyramid is, but the ball is 68 mm in diameter, and the pocket is 69.5 -70 mm. A lot of shots are power shots that put more stress on the cue than the pool break shot. And how many of you break with your Herceks or Szambotis (Fatboy, please do not answer this question because I saw that inside the case edition

)? Now, Dmitriy’s construction withstands the forces and stresses from playing Russian Pyramid. I think it will last forever if you play pool with it. And I mean play, not hang in the closet in the “unchalked” condition.
