Ok....have to stand up here for my team.
KOD being in the front cover of Stroke Magazine had nothing to do with us promoting ourselves. If we are going to get attention, we will take it and make the best out of it. Period.

i asked to play through a mutual friend thinking friendly stakes and just for practice. you said bet $500. i said that if you want to play for $500 you gotta give up the 7 since you're clearly the better player. (i've never even been close to running a 4 pack of anything) after that i heard nothing except your fan club making it sound like i'm ducking you. oh well. looks like something got lost in translation.

Friendly stake and just for practice? You are making yourself sound like an angel when you know you are not. Plus you asked me for 7 out, not 7. Our speeds are not far apart at all.

I have never faulted anyone on KOD for anything. If you read all of my posts and really think about the premise of them they are all about the promotion that a league team is getting that no other league team has. I have complimented the entire team for winning the open team division last year more than once in this thread. I just don't get where you're team is so much more deserving than the teams that have won the exact same event in the many, many years before last. Or what about all the teams that have won the masters division? Shouldn't they get the same promotion that KOD has?
I do however have a problem with all the comment people have made about none of the KOD promotion being self promotion. Like I stated in the post you quoted, Alison is a driving force behind NYCGrind.com and was engaged to the owner. I am willing to bet that if that was not the case, KOD wouldn't be getting nearly the amount of promotion that they have.
I also have a big problem with people like Wedge saying that KOD has done more to promote the sport than people such as the TAR crew and Mark Griffin have done. That is just asinine. I don't doubt that KOD has helped to promote the sport as much as they can, but TAR and Mark Griffin (as well as the others I've mentioned in this thread such as Greg Sullivan, Shannon Daulton and Jay Helfert) and light years ahead of any other group or organization when it comes to promoting pool.
I applaud you for stepping up and agreeing to play OMGWTF and I believe it is going to be a great match to watch and if it happen in Vegas, I will be there enjoying it as will many other people.
I wish you continued success on your journey to become a top woman's player and when you get there I will be first in line to congratulate you.

I have plenty of positive things to say. You are obviously a huge KOD fan and feel that what I'm saying is negative when really, I'm just keeping it real. If you don't like it, don't read it. Nobody is forcing you to.
I've said it before and I'll say it again...love me or hate me, I'm not going to sugar coat it for anyone.
See, contrary to popular belief, i don't just BBQ random people.

Granted, sometimes i bring up some touchy subjects, but the motives for that, usually are to get to the root/truth of an issue.
But on that note, sometimes the truth hurts, and not everyone is prepared for it.
