Denis Strickland of the Houston,Tx area has been given only a few months. He is in dire need of a liver.

Only a few months ago Denis was planning on matching up with Sylver Ochoa, race to 30 10 Ball. Now he's faced with a much more serious issue.

If you know Denis, please get in touch with him through facebook. He would like to hear from you and could use your prayers and encouragement.

Denis is well respected in the pool scene not only in Texas, but also in Florida and a few places in between. He has always been an optimist and is keeping a great attitude.

Here is a match I recorded of Denis defeating Jui Lung Chen, whom some of you may remember winning the hotseat in Vegas at the NCS event only to fall to Brandon Shuff in the finals. Click here.

That's absolutely horrible news. I matched up with Denis a few years back and came out on the losing end of a battle. I sure hope that Denis can win this battle also. I'm moving back to Houston in a few weeks and I hope to see Denis around shooting pool for a lot longer.

Denis had me rolling one time when he was playing someone and made a great table length bank and once he hit it he yelled out loud, 'Masssssssshhhhheddd Pottttattttaaaa's!!!!" and then when the ball fell, "GRRRRAAAAAAVY!". It was hilarious the way he said it.
 
Dang...he'd looked so much better the last time I saw him, thought he was on an upswing. I remember at one point he looked in horrible shape a few years back. Prayers sent!

wow i talked to him and barry at the tourny last weekend...i hate to here that i allways respected dennis game...and he is a ton to sweat...i hope he gets what he needs...gl dennis....mickey

Wow, this is awful to hear. Denis is a great guy and has had some real battles over the past 5 years. He has meet them head on and kept a good spirit despite all his difficulties.

Denisisone of the most upbeat and spntaneous peopleanyone wil ever meet. Anytime he walks into the room, it automaticly livens up and most are in a better mood. He could also ignite the action and quickly!

Denis is a good man and a strong man. I wsh him well and my prayers are with him!

That's very ironic, I have a very close friend named Dennis who went through a liver transplant about 2 years ago. He is doing great and will
pray this Dennis has the same path.

Denis has been the life of the party at many events and matches not only here in Texas but all over. He lights up the room when he enters.
