Hi Ho Silver!

Congrats to you both. With how much me and my new bride of four years are at eachother's throats it's hard to believe we'll ever be together that long. Not trying to hijack your thread but I have a question for you guys. I've had tons of people tell me "you're newly weds and the world is carefree and you haven't seen anything yet." Then there are others who tell me their first 5 years of marriage are the toughest. This seems to be the way it's going for me and my wife. Between me being out of work and the bills piling up we can't even consider having kids and we'll both be 30 next year. Not looking for sympathy, rather looking for some people who have been through it and know sometimes the first part of a marriage ain't always so grand.

I understand you looking for answers when things aren't going smoothly, but I cannot give you any advice. Diane & I were just right for each other and getting married was an extension of our friendship and wasn't work. Of course we had/have arguments, but we never felt it to be work to stay together. I wish you and your wife the best in the future, I hope you get in a good rhythm with your life together.

Congratulations!

Happy 25th to the Dave and Diane and Happy 20th to Neil and his better half.

My better half, Barbara, and I celebrated our 20th back in October. I'm sure you guys feel as lucky as I do to have found that special person to grow old with.

Here's to another 25 to both of you!:ok:

Thanks, Bill - congrats to you, too. I think your new book on 3-cushion will jump start our marriage for the next 25 years :).

And thanks MikeM and congrats to you and your wife as well. Nice to see there are many happy long marriages in this community. Who knew pool players could commit to something .

Congrats to all celebrating anniversaries! The tough times are the test...how you survive the tough times. This makes the good times better.

Cindy & I will celebrate 35 years next month...

Today, Diane and I celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary . It's been a fantastic 25 years of marriage and I consider myself very lucky.

To keep this billiard related, one of the great things Diane has done for me over the years (and there were many) was insisting I play in Sang Lee's 3-cushion Invitational in Queens NY in 1993 for my 40th birthday present after being invited by Mr. Lee. I think the tourney was in August and I turned 40 shortly after in November. Thanks, again, Diane!

Just thought I'd share the good news with my AZB family.

Dave

Good for you. I'm at 36 and counting.

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes. 12squared, I hope you don't think I tried to hijack your thread. I was surprised to see your post, as it is the same day as mine, so I commented about it.
