Coin Counting System

Hey,

when using a coin under the rail to count racks, what is the right method ?

i have seen it done both ways, but which is right?

Option2 is the most widely used I'm sure. I actually have never seen anyone do it the way you show in Option1. If you know people that do, then I suppose its worth clarifying with your opponent before a match.

Whenever I go to red shoes to play 14.1 on Mondays. i have to clear all the pennies out of the ball return. Don't want to be scratching my centennials.
