My lil buddy been on a tournement roll following last month win in Jackson,Mississippi...He won 1st in Port Arther this weekend beating Hillbilly in the finals 9-2...might have been 9-3 but was watching it on stream this morning & it ended like 1:30am...Sylver Ochoa taking 3rd

Almost forgot...but big props to bigtruck for providing stream....Wasn't able to get away to sweat n person but was great to be able to watch my lil buddy get da cheese anyway !!!::happydance:

I was there for a little while, I don't think Bigtruck was the one doing the streaming. Good tournament and nice new poolroom.

I just assumed it was Ray...there wasn't alot of commentary torward the end But props to whoever it wuz that brought us da stream !:)

Congrats to Gary, for the hot seat, he came back from 8-5, I believe, to beat Hillbilly. After that, he got on a roll. Great shooter:thumbup:
 
What amazed me is the fact that Gary had no trouble at all going full steam ahead after Hillbilly took (IMO) an inordinate amount of time strategizing. I think he came back from an 8-4 deficit or something like that.

They *DO* need to fix that table roll, though.

The 8-4 deficit was the hotseat match...Gary won like 9-2 in the finals..by that time Hillbilly was already in the Patron trap..lol

It was the LoneStar Tour that streamed it. They have their own streaming equipment and stream every event. They made some upgrades and the pic was much clearer than in the recent past. It was great!!

Congrat's to GARY! I love watching him play and seeing him come back from that 4-8 deficit was awesome! It was too late for me to watch the finals, so I was glad to read he won the tourney!

Thanks sha fur clearin dat up...I agree the stream was really clear...Looks like a nice poolroom...We use to go to the big tourney's in Port Arther years ago...doesn't look like same room...It was next to a lil bar called the Bottle shop i think A guy named Mark owned the bottle shop..He borrowed my Jenson & played this guy Marvin & won $4000 & liked the way it hit so he talked me out of it for $1000...then we staked Kid Chris against him in the parking lot throwing a football for $500...& lil sal wons us about $2000 playing ping pong..aaaaaahhhhh..the good old days...lol:D

Congratulations to Gary.

I've noticed a very nice and professional personna that Gary has been exhibiting of late and perhaps his winning is a direct result of the way that he seems to carry himself.

Do you know if Gary will be playing in the $8500 added nine ball tournament in Atlanta next month? If so, he had better get his entry fee in right away. I think there are only 64 spots available. It's JUly 9-11 at the Gem City Classic.

Capone's Billiards in Florida is hosting this weekends Seminole pro Tour.

I will be going to Atlanta to count coup and hope to add some notches to my Coup Stick.

I talked to Gary yesterday...He's been hanging around Houston after the port arthur tourney...He's suppose to come to Houma after...maybe in a few days..I'll run it by him & see what he says...will let you know.
 
Hey Gary, CONGRATULATIONS!

Keep records of all your victories, we will need them for the New England Pool and Billiard Hall of Fame. There's a spot on the wall in Snooker's waiting for you, some day. Keep piling up the wins.
 
Gary played great

I watched the final few matches and Gary really played great. It was real hard for him not to be sharked by Hillybilly's stalling tactics but he managed to do so. The Lil Arab is truly a champion.

LOL. No wasn't me, but they have the stream looking very nice.

Great Job Gary Abood!!! I too have noticed a very professional demeanor from Gary as of late. He doesn't let anything bother him. Winning attitude.

I have heard the ladies refer to him as " The Arab Mel Gibson". LOL. lolololololololololololol
