Here's a short run of 28 from last night.....

i played some pretty good patterns, until the end when i had 5 balls left on the table. i should of looked at it again and changed my plan of attack, Dont you agree !!!

the one good thing in all this is that i am still Pain & Smoke Free !!!!

i know it is only 28, but there is something to learn from every clip !

plus i like to share !

You went the wrong way at the end there - $hit happens. However, you are consistently making the same pattern errors that I am outlining in your other videos. You made some pretty big errors in the first rack, yet you recovered nicely. The thing about 14.1, is that those errors start to catch up with you, and it snowballs - sometimes from out of nowhere - sometimes abruptly. All in all, that was a nice run- major error was crashing into the break ball - something that could have been avoided if you set up to use the 3 as your key ball - but the rolls said otherwise. It happens.

thanks dave, but if you noticed i was hitting my secondary breakshots alot softer !!!!

i know i should have looked at the table again when i had those last 5 balls on the table.....but i was locked in on an idea, and tried to stick to it !!

You did Good.

"Smoke & Pain Free" that saids a lot right there. Good to hear that.
Your are a good player, those runs will come. Just seeing how you play. Everyone can see that better runs are right around the corner.
Everyone plays racks different. The last few balls on the table. I would of shot the 1 ball and came above the 12 for the corner, instead of the 12 in the side, which caused you to get above the 1 ball. The 12 in the corner was a good shot also.
During the 2nd rack. You were in the center of some balls and you took the 5 in the side. I would of took the 1 ball into the 2 ball in the corner and caused the cue ball to break up the 3 & 14, which were trouble balls. You would of had the 8 & 13 as Ins balls in the left side after breaking apart the 3 & 14. But.... like I said. everyone plays patterns differently and my way is no better then anyone else's as long as the player at the table gets the job done.
Over all Steve. I am glad to hear that you are feeling better. Keep up the good work & keep posting.

thanks for the comments and well wishes !!

if you were talking about this scenario. i actually played position for the 1 so i can follow into the 2 balls. once i got there i noticed if i shoot the ball in the side i could just clip one of the balls and keep the other for a breakshot. earlier in the rack i had identified that as my breakshot, but i was ill fated and tied it up with another ball.

if i shot the 1 in the corner into the corner here with follow i would hae hit both balls and had no breakshot at this point.. i think it was pretty smart the way i played it, especially knowing that i had insurance with the ball in the corner.

No Steve, the shot that I am talking about comes way before the shot you are showing. I am talking about 5:46 of the video.
By shooting the 1 ball with Low Left (into the 2 ball) you would of sent the cue ball into the 3 & 14 which were tired up just to the right of the cue ball. Plus the 3 or 14 would of rolled into a break ball spot.
You played the 5 in the side and then took the ball on the rail trying to break up the 3 & 14 but just missed doing it.
I hope this all helps with understanding what I was seeing.

you played nice patterns, good rhythm...like mike said, everybody runs a rack a little different but i would have shot it almost like you did. It´s good that you are pain free now, runs will come my friend, keep it up.

i think if he'd shot the 12 up table he could have recovered and swung around 2 rails for the break ball

yeah i know....but i was fixated on a certain pattern in my head, and i wasnt open to change !!!!!

ussually that is something i preach "Be Open To Change of Pattern" to get better shape on a ball....but i didnt practice what i preach i guess !

You are doing good and as long as we realized and become aware of where we make mistakes during our runs, we will learn.
It is easy for someone to say "well, he should of played this or that"
When you are up at the table, it is just different. I never missed a shot in my Life from the "Side Lines", but it does help when someone
points out things. It's like watching a video or reading a book. If you only learn One thing during that whole video or book. Then it is worth while.
