Great Les!

As we know all too well, it is hard to have a trust relationship with most AZers because of the distance and so many scams on AZ these days. It is really important that the Philippine Pool Community make good on these transaction for the benefit of all.
I hope that Ren can just communicate here even if he has to log in on someone else's computer to let Ron know the status and tracking etc.

I bumped into Ren last night in one of the local pool halls. I told him about this and he told me he shipped the cue already. I asked him to at least provide Ron the tracking number and at least communicate. I told him he must.

I called today and found out that the funds were picked up in the Philippines on 6/29/2010.

The cue was supposed to be a Tony Bautista amboyna cue with 2 shafts. he is probably still playing with it if he had it at all.

It is true... I am sure that everyone from PI that trys to sell a cue to the US will be treated with a great deal of suspicion from now on and it may even stop buyers from considering PI cues.

I will say here though that I have bought 4 cues from Les (the_general) and have had only great transactions.

Just curious, how long does it take for a cue to come from the Phillppines. I had a money order from Canada mailed to me Xpress Mail and it took more than ten days to get here.

Sorry for all this nonsense Ron ...maybe the pressure will be too much for him as word is spreading quickly...There's nothing worse than being known as a thief...
Maybe some common sense will sink in and everything will get worked out accordingly. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you...
I wouldn't be able to sleep at night personally...

wow very sorry to hear this. Always makes every1 nervious to do Online trading when you see this. No offense to you but, i'm glad I didn't make the deal I came very close to buying this cue. but, after several PM's not getting returned and the must use Western Union thing I opted out.

I hope all this chatter makes Ren nervous and gets a vote of consciousness and makes good on the deal. We as a community should not have to worry about stuff like this but, the ugly truth is that we do.

I had not left him a bad iTrader yet hoping that he would come through. But I just did because its apparent that it is a bad deal even if I ever get anything back.

If that was true I would think even if he did not track it he would contact you and let you know he sent it.

He contacted me around 6:00 pm and said he was going to the W. U. office later and had addressed the cue to me already. I wrote back and told him not to bother as I had canceled the money transfer and not to contact me again. Has anyone directed him to this thread? He claimed to not being able to access his AZ account lately.

Ron, He still needed the neg. itrader for not letting you know what's going on and waiting so long to ship it! If you get it and I hope you do, Post it here and I will turn him GREEN again but by the later post he is selling it more than once that's never a good thing!I hate to hear the scammers are here too.As the economy gets worse more of this is going to be happening and I hate PAYPAL but Western Union is the scammers choice! At least it wasn't a SZAMBOTI.:yikes:

It's not a secret that it's hard for us Filipinos to sell anything elsewhere because of the 'horror stories' made by some before us. But we're trying to change that by being professional, righteous, and trustworthy. Several of our friends here in the pool community are doing something to help you out Ron. I hope this clear out the soonest.
