Where are they now?

how about junior harris?

June Bug! My man. He spent some time with me in Venice Beach back in the 80's. He loved Volvo's and left one at my place for several months. I grew to like that car. We ran around L.A. a bit and he beat everyone he played until he ran into Bill Mielke in Santa Monica. I warned Jr. not to play him but to no avail. They played a couple of times and the very steady Mielke slowly wore him down each time. Bill was a Breedlove type player, a real grinder. Nothing spectacular, he just kept getting out - rack after rack!

After that Jr. went back to Colorado where he had a girl. I know he went back East later and not sure where he is now. I think he got deep into religion, but I'm sure he's still playing pool. He did fly in to pick up his car (one of several Volvo's he owned) about six months later.

Jay, have you heard anything from Mielke? The last time I saw him was in Alabama, about 10 years ago....he is(was) a grinder.

Bill Mielke is currently living in Phoenix, Ariz.

I hear he was a stone cold bar box killer with the large cue ball.

Does anyone have any stories of Bill?

Thanks.

Bernie Pettipiece.

Tony Watson has gotten back on the green felt recently. From what I understand, he busted Kelly Fisher and her backer for five figures in the Carolinas.

Dunno if his legal issues are truly done with, but I'm sure he will be @ the U.S. Open and/or Derby City.

Thanks for the update!

Tony Watson?

Are we talking about the same guy? When I was around him, he was in Atlanta.

Another: Tony Mougey (spelling?) pronounced Mo-J

He is in Chattanooga area and doing well. He plays every Saturday in a tourny at the Lower Level. His wife gave birth to his first child last week.

Actually, I think Pete grew up with Earl and were road buddies, both being from Rollesville, NC I think. Last I heard, Pete was driving a truck (18 wheeler) for a company somewhere on the East Coast.

That is correct. He was in Fayetteville about a year ago. Wow, what a flashback.

Mine............

Gene Cooper (in Charlotte?)
Ricky Gracyk
Houston Whitey
Bob Ogburn

Someone mentioned Jay Helfert. Last time I saw ole Jay Helfert he was taking cash from these young players in Laguna Niguel. The look in their eyes as they collectively unscrewed their first stick, handing Jay their tuition money...I'll never forget that look. :)

Couple of answers. A few years ago, Jimmy found religion and to the best of my knowledge hasn't played since. Eugene Browning and I played in Alabama a few months ago, so he is still playing, at least some.

How does Religion stop people from playing? I don't get it.

Quit knocking my action. I only get a game about once a year as it is!
I played some Banks last week with Hawaiian Jimmy at Hard Times. I had a meeting there and Jimmy and I got in a few games. He's a hardcore hustler but we broke even. I WILL play him again! I had to use a house cue since I didn't bring my cue along.

Jr was in MD for a while and I also heard he found Jesus in Tx. (Not the Hispanic one, the religion one.)
