I was reading a thread about best stroke that was getting a bit off course and I was getting ready to derail it. I thought maybe I should start another that was more in line. Mr. Helfert had mentioned Mark Tadd as one who was playing poker and had quit pool for a while but was playing at DCC again and playing pretty good. I actually saw him there and did not recognise him because he was thin the last time I saw him about 1987 He looked like a wrestler this time. I saw him doing a little piquet shot with just the shaft 1 handed while talking to someone and seemingly not even paying attention to the shot. he had it going out about 18 inches and coming back to the pocket under him. The last time I saw him I had won some money gambling with people not in the tournament and I was eyeballing him because he was well dressed and seemed to have a substantial load of cash. I was getting ready to ask him to play as he got a table and threw some balls out and over walks Jim Rempe and starts talking to him, I wait and for the next 45 minutes they talk non stop and Mark racks breaks and runs out every rack for the 45 minutes, he played pretty quick too and was talking the whole time. Never one to be intimidated, I walked right up to him and handed him a sheet of paper and a pen and asked for his autograph.
