Just purchased a GC2 that I am extremely lucky to have Glen (Real King Cobra) come to set up for me at the end of Sept. Can't wait!

I need some quality house cues, I was hoping for something made in the U.S.A. for under $50.00/each.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thank to all.

If you want made in North America, other than Schmelke, you are going to need a time machine - which will prolly make the cost way more than $50.

Or you could go to a local pool room and ask if you could but some...10 for $150 or something. They often have boxes of spares and you might get lucky.

Nice thing about that is that you get to pick the ones you get.
Bad thing is they will neeed a little work. But you will be picking straight ones!

You could also look for the chinese cues on fleabay. 1/2 should prove useable and they look nicer than house cues when not being used. I ASSume you already have a personal cue..>!

CueTec also makes some pretty inexpensive cues like their sneaky pete's. CueTecs usually play pretty decent, especially with a little tip and ferrul work.

Just another thought. Not a lot of American manufacturers that makes stuff in that range. Lots of custom, also Viking. But you aren't going to get a Viking for less than $150.

When I finally get my table, I'll probably go with 4 or 6 McDermotts myself. Probably their basic entry line. They play well and most people don't have a lot of negative to say about them. Besides, most of my friends have their own cues.

Good Luck

Greg

I'd ask Glen. By the way, congratulations on getting Glen to set up your table. Please take some pictures and post them.

Valley supremes are quite nice, for house cues. Unless you're looking for something fancier, I'd recommend them.

I'vegot the Schmelke one piece house cues in bocote and like them. They're within your price range.

Mcdermott..! I never seen a warped one unless it was abused in a car trunk. Schmelke's warp from looking at them! JMO

Wrong!

Well, the part about asking Glen for house cue input is anyway...IMO

The Man has bigger things to do with his time!

Well, if's Glen is there working on his table what's the problem with asking him a simple question. Glen get's around and is very knowledgeable. He also knows a lot of people and has many contacts. Anyway, that's what I would do. Sorry if that displeases you.

Your best bet for the dollar is to just buy some basic Nick Varner cues. They are not made in the US but they are made well and Nick is involved in the design and construction process to be sure they play well. In my opinion they are the best cue for the dollar available.
