Bummer, I'll be visiting my daughter at college that weekend. I would have loved to come watch.

Good luck everyone!

Need confirmation from a few and need some more players

I'd go - but I dont wanna make you look bad in front of your buddies...

Dennis, what time does this event get started?

I might be able to swing coming by to watch. I just called Red Shoes, and they said it starts at 12. I could play if you need more players, but of course, I wouldn't be any competition for anyone.

What is the format? Single elimination? Round Robin?

Double elimination races to 100.

Come by and play if you like or watch if you don't want to play.

Oh, oh..
Double oh seven.

It figures he would know how to play pool. He does everything good.

Seriously, though, don't worry about making me look bad in front of my buddies. They are used to it.

c'mon by!:grin-square:

Results

Well, I have been released from my straight jacket and have been allowed to post the results of the Qualifier.

Tom Karabotsos, who learned the game from Dallas West, took first place in the qualifier. He previously qualified in 2006 and 2007 but did not play in the next two qualifiers.

Jeffrey Mohl, for the second year in a row, qualified by beating everyone he faced except Tom.

Thanks to Brian Wink for providing the photos.
