I'm glad someone finally caught this. Amanda won the Houston Open this year and did not even play in the Texas Open this year. Of course, she already has many Texas Open wins under her belt.

I am very honored to receive such recognition from you all and I am very lucky to have you all in my life - albeit over the internet for some of you.I sure am glad I checked this today!
Happy tears are deserving tears! As for the recognition--you brought that on yourself and we are lucky to have you as part of our family here. I'm glad you checked it too so I can say "I Told you so" (lol).
I do want to clarify that one main reason I do not ask for help is because I almost never practice so I am not very consistent in my pool playing. So, that said, I would not feel right accepting help from anyone because I don't think it would be a fair thing to do. I am sure you all understand that.
I'd venture to say that 99.9% of everyone here (24,877 peeps as of this writing) are working stiffs and part of "your" family -- exactly why you deserve the recognition/support from us. It's not about what's fair but about supporting one of our own and living our lives vicariously (sorta) through folks, like you, who leave such a positive image on our support. The fact that you don't have the time to practice, like us, and were able to accomplish what you have to date means a lot to us all -- believe that!
We appreciate you! Period!

I very much like this idea (highlighted above)!!!! I was thinking of coming to Lafayette this month but I don't think I'll be able to. That is the weekend before I move so I think I should stay home and pack. Blah! lol

Trigger is the only player I've ever tried to console long distance (by buying her a drink) via stream (after a rough loss), but I think you may just have (a congratulatory) one coming the next time I catch ya at a tourney! :grin:

That would be a hoot for sure. Of course you'll be buying surf and turf for three others besides yourself which might just be a bit spendy ... but hey, you only live once right!? Pics, or it didn't happen.

But really, Amanda has been a force around here for as long as I've been playing (I'm not saying you're old heifer...I've only been playing four years settle settle....) and she's definitely someone to admire. If not only for her ability but for her heart as well. I'm truly a better person having her as one of my friends and a better player for having played against her. (*sniffle*)

You should come to Houston for some of the many great ladies events there. I believe the OB ladies tour has a stop there in December.
