•Race to 11
•Double Elimination
•Finals 1 race to 13
•Break Box
•3 Balls past Head String
•No soft Breaks
◦Velocity is key to determining a proper break. Players must break the balls with proper speed and it will not be a foul if three balls do not pass the headstring. Players must make an honest attempt to break the balls. A foul will not be called if a player breaks with velocity.
•Winner breaks
•Loser racks
•2 ball behind 9 ball

Dress Code:
Nice Slacks, Sweater or nice shirt, no T-Shirts, No tennis shoes, Nice comfortable soft shoes permitted. Look your best head to toe.

Ear plugs are acceptable, no headphones, walkmen, I-pods... (ie. nothing sitcking out of your ears)
---------------------------------------------

I don't recall the "no soft break gray area" last year as it is this year. Does anyone recall this? I DO recall the ridiculous amount of time wasted racking, but not any controversy associated with whether "there was an honest attempt to break at proper speed".

They aren't actually playing with that ridiculous 3 ball past the headstring rule that Matchroom has used, are they? So if they make two balls on the break yet one other ball doesn't go past the head string then it is the opponent's table?!

If you carefully read the above you'd notice this:

"Velocity is key to determining a proper break. Players must break the balls with proper speed and it will not be a foul if three balls do not pass the headstring. Players must make an honest attempt to break the balls. A foul will not be called if a player breaks with velocity."

It's going to be subjective. I can only imagine a foul being called when a ref comes over after a player whines about his opponent's break, and the opponent is seen soft breaking by a ref. We'll see, eh?
