"McGoorty: The Story of a Billiard Bum" by Robert Byrne. If you haven't read this you've missed one of the best books on the game, regardless of what you may personally think of the man and his life.

I wrote two instructional bank pool books, Banking With The Beard and, The GosPool of Bank Pool, with both having plenty of bank pool secrets and info, but I spiced them up with about 1/2 of each book devoted to old-time road stories, and mini-bio's of many of the great hustlers. (Plenty of ink devoted to CornBreadRed.)

Freddies books are HIGHLY instructional AND HIGHLY entertaining. Both are really fun to read and you'll learn a lot.
Sorry you had to sing your own praises Freddie. I should have remembered as I really did enjoy and benefit from reading them.
