Keeping perfect Tip shape is 1,2,3
I always spin my shafts to clean, and lightly burnish the tip - I think the only way to shape tips is spinning them. All it takes is a cordless drill and a pin for your shaft. 80-120 sand Paper and your fingers. A fool can do this on the tailgate ,or trunk of the car. You get a tip that is shaped nickel, dime ,quarter- All this glazed stuff is for the birds- Remember pred ferrules are plastic and cannot take the heat. Every shaft for every cue is done the same way. I have an electric hammer drill in the garage with -wooden rails like a lathe ,does exactly the same thing ,cleans shafts shapes tips. Simple!! I use the butchers wax and Magic Eraser with Alcohol. How can this be so hard for some people? I never have to play with a blued shaft!! mark
