choosing a break tip

I currently have a samsara tip on my break cue and am thinking of changing. While I like the nice solid hit it gives, I think the cue ball control is lacking. Maybe what I should say is that it is not very forgiving if you hit slightly off center. I have broken a few racks of 9/10 ball lately and find the cue ball squatting more frequently with a softer (read kamui SS!) tip. What advantages/disadvantages are there to a softer tip? What kinds of tips could replace the samsara and provide a good mixture of durability and control?

I am always open minded about trying something new but I have to say that I use the Samsara Break Tip and for the most part have been happy with it. Also you have to take into consideration are you using a Break Cue or a Jump/Break Cue. If you are using a Jump/Break Cue I suggest you stay with the Samsara break tip. It breaks good and jumps as good as anything on the market.

The Super Pro is a cheap alternative. I've done a few for players and no complaints. I replaced the tip on a friends BK with a Talisman break tip and he loves it. I doubt he would go back to phenolic now.

The Triangles are a medium hard to begin with, so pressing them would also make a nice one piece breaker.
