Casper's Billiards...5000 added one pocket.

He's not picking that weekend again because he found out (last Feb) that doing it so close to Derby affected the turn out instead of helping it. It was also Super Bowl weekend.

Hope Casper's gets a full field and doesn't run into the same reasons to not fill the 64 as Gabe did.

We are also having a $1500 added 9 ball tournament at Caspers January 29-30, just one week prior to the 1 pocket event!!

So basically what Ironman is saying..Is If you are not tat the derby you better be In san leon for his 9 ball tournament..And then just make a week of it....

Sorry to hear about Mom. :(

Unfortunately there aren't many dates available. If you have a recommendation on a date, Denis would like to hear it.

Ray

Yeah this is about the only date we could find honestly...But like i say with players heading west anyways I think it will work....We shall see..But I honestly think he will get 64 players..Why..Well this is Denis Strckland..Who doesnt wanna come watch him act an ass..

I was looking around the interwebz to see if Feb. 4-6 conflicted with anything and found out that the 2011 Predator Challenge was on those dates in Indiana.

Luckily, the name is the only thing that could possibly make a person think it is pool-related. :)

Best of luck with the tournaments!

Now THIS IS THE WAY TO ADVERTISE A TOURNAMENT.

Very clear.

Only have another question and the reason I'm posting it here is to give more press to the good effort of letting us know about a BIG MONEY one pocket tournament.

Which set of balls will be used and which cue ball will be used?
Thanks again for the very clear specs on the tournament.

Ok, I have another but will wait until I hear your reply on this one. February is a long way away.

No problem sir..That is a good question.I will get that info for you today..Thanks

The pool hall will be open 24 hours from Thursday the 3rd thru Sunday the 6th for action..All matches will be scheduled...There will have to be a time limit on all matches(to be determined) and after that we may have to put a shot clock on..No match will be stopped though..All matches will be played thru but we have to make sure the tournament gets finished..

The owner of Caspers is goin thru every possible procedure to make this a first class event an accommodate the players..
Spectator passes will be 20 for the whole event or 10 dollars a day and Caspers has agreed to give free breakfast of some sort every morning..

A list of hotels will be available Monday or Tuesday so you can start making your reservations if you plan to attend.I hope every one that can possibly make it out to this event makes the effort to come.We really would like to make this a success so we can see more events of this nature and bigger added prize funds..These people are really working hard to see the players prosper in the end..

So if you Know a player that will be interested in playing please let them know..We would like to get this tournament filled up as soon as possible..Remember it is limited to the first 64 players and we are doing out best to make sure we have a full field..

We hope to see you all in the near future.Thank you

For those of you wondering where San Leon Tx is..... It is a little less than one hour from Houston, TX, just before you get to Galveston, TX.

I would have to imagine good fishing and great seafood for this coastal town.

AIRPORT, I would guess is Houston, TX....????

Hobby would be the closest at 30mi. Houston Bush International is about 53 miles.

Thanks for the response. That's great there won't be a scheduling conflict. Yeah, they need one place with updated calendars from the WPA, US, EPBF, and Asia.

Perhaps the promoters and entities that schedule the dates of these tournaments can form an Internet Group and meet online to discuss their dates and times.

Until all of the promoters put their egos on the side and decide to work together instead of on their own, there will always be schduling conflicts.

AZ Billiards seems a likely place to coordinate the dates of events but they probably need to take it PRIVATE and keep the discussions off of the Main Forum.
