I would like some recent opinions of the r360 shaft by cuetec. I would like opinions on its feel and performance. I am considering using one on a conversion cue. Please no advice about get an ob, get a predator, etc. Just an honest OPINION of this shafts positive features or lack of. Thanks.

i own an r360 and i bought off a guy with a moori hard tip and i didn't like it and i felt like i was going to break the CB or he shaft with every hit...however i did change the tip to everest and it hits fine, nothing no of the world. the main thing to look for in any shaft is when you line up to the shot instead of looking at the OB last, look at the shaft making contact with the CB (this is for testing purposes) and see for yourself how much deflection it has on the shaft after impact, even trying slow rolling a few balls...

I once tested out a joss cue and i liked the hit buy when i got my in the mail, i noticed a lot of deflection (i felt like i was hitting with a noodle) and i sent the shaft back to them and they sent me a new one. and when it hit with it it felt like the other i tested, so lesson learned not all shafts play the same, oh and one tip you caan do is shorten the ferrule to reduce deflection as well.

I bought my R-360 about 5 months ago. I play 4+ hours everyday with it. It has replaced my Vikings and GP's. I love this cue. It feels like a custom cue made for me. Johnnyt

Out of curiosity I got one to try. I like it very much. My 10yr old Pred (98-6) started collecting dust after I got the R360. But now they both do as I do not play much at all.

Get one , try it , form your own opinion.
If you do not like it sell it.
It isn't a big investment !

The tip you use is just as important.
Prolly your next thread huh ?

Is this Cuetec R360 shaft a regular wood shaft? or does it have the fiberglass coating like some of the other Cuetec cues? i HAVE to wear a glove if/when i play with a Cuetec.

Bare wood LD shaft.

I was gonna say it is new but it has been around over a year or so now !

Two questions:

1) The Cuetec website says something about the first 12 or 15 inches are coated with something so dirt wont get on the shaft as you use it. Whats up with this? This is a regular wood shaft, and its not coated with anything, right?

2) Where is the cheapest place to get a Cuetec R360 cue?

Mike

I tested a retapered one at the pool hall a month ago, and it shot pretty good.

I usually shoot with a Z shaft.
