Iowa is my favorite State of the Union. I have only been there once, but I found the locals to be genuinely friendly and so nice. The blue skies and beautiful cornfields are so gorgeous. If you're driving to this tournament, enjoy the scenery. Iowa is great.
Once is not enough for a state like Iowa. It is indeed the most underrated state in the country. Thanks Ray for the update on the Des Moines pool scene:wink:, this will be a great event.

When I drove to Las Vegas in 2006, we stayed in Iowa, but driving through this State of the Union was like a magical wonderland for me, coming from the big city. :smiling-heart:
We ended up staying in Iowa one night across the street from a horse track and casino. The scenery was beautiful throughout, with its pristine corn fields landscaped in perfect harmony with the hills and valleys, and then there's those endless blue skies.
Check out the blue skies of Iowa in this shot of my partner taken across the street from Prairie Downs Casino in Iowa holding his Jack Madden cue. Poor fellow had to pose quite a bit for me when we were on the road! The people we met in Iowa were genuinely nice and friendly. I love that State.

HAHAHAHA It was meant to be a joke! We all know Iowa doesn't actually exist. Or maybe that Idaho... Yea, its Idaho. A lot of people don't know, it really doesn't exist. I mean, do you actually know ANYONE from Idaho??? Nope!

Should be a lot of good players this weekend. Names I've heard that are coming: Bowman, Shuff, Runningen, Engel, Raulston, and the legendary Whitey Walker just to name a few. With a guaranteed $3,250 added to both tournaments, I expect many more top names...
Yesterday I heard the Quad Cities guys are coming, so Jamie Baraks, Chad Vilmont, Jonny Kucharo(man crush jk), and Josh Johnson on the way. There's going to be a lot of good players and I know Chad and Jamie are on fire right now on the bar table so look for them to do really well.
