Is this a common practice?

I have an 8 ft table +cash and would like trade for a 9 ft table. Does anyone know if this is common for mechanics to work this way?

GEneralities are not relevant...

Best of luck on it though. Gettining it out right away would be a win for you and the price that the mover would certainly pay would be a win for him.

You just gotta find the right guy!

Are you trying to upgrade to a 9 ft.? I have a 9 ft. black and chrome GC3 that is just too big for the only room I have it in. I have thought about trading for an 8 ft. What do you have? I'm in Richardson.

there are a few out there that will trade but generally speaking, no, its not that common. because many mechanics don't have an actual "store" to resale tables (or a storage facility). and some mechanics work for commercial distributors, who are primarily interested in new table sales and installations.

but on the other hand - make the offer sweet enough and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who'd say no. one time I bought a solid oak pro 8 from somebody for $220. i didnt even have room for it, but how can you say no to solid oak?
