I was on another pool forum a couple of months ago (I know blasphemy) & I saw a post about custom cue pics so being that I love to look at other people's cues I clicked & saw some great looking cues but, and it's a big but every single cue shaft had been sanded within an inch of it's life with only about an inch of the original layer of wood left @ the bottom of the shaft.
My question/pet peeve is why do people who upwards of $300 on a one of a kind custom cue just get it and take the beauty out of it by sanding it down to make what should have been a one of a kind cue into nothing more than a fancy bar cue.
In my opinion by doing that you are not only ruining a cue but you are taking all the hard work the cuemaker has done & basically throwing it out the window, it really is annoying.
