Exposed weight bolts

is local hardware shop o.k for 1 or 2 every once in a while the extra $1.00 or so isn't going to kill ya if you 50 or more to get personalized then its maybe worth going to distributor

Not really unique, you should be able to find them local where ever you are. I have found them a marine supplies where they sell a lot of SS. Also, many of the exposed bolts are not weight bolts. The weight may be more internal and the exposed bolt for a finished look. In other words, you may have an internal weight pin say 4" long threaded deep in the butt and a finish bolt 1" long at the butt cap.

Thanks for posting xianmacx, those look really cool. What keeps the butt cap from getting banged up? How about cutting a fat Oring groove on the flat face and pocket it with a touch of SG just to protect the bottom at least.

I've found McMaster Carr to have very good hardware pricing when buying on line.

The bottom one is a Tascarella and I play with it quite a bit. I have had no issue with damage. The buttcap material is extremely hard and Pete doesn't put finish on the flat bottom therefor there is nothing to really scratch up.

"Ace is the place": How can that jingle be frowned upon hardware is even in the name I didn't know stating the obvious could cause any trouble
 
I just located the exact chrome Allen bolts used in my Tascarella. The store was 1/2 mile from my house this whole time...
