What Would You Damn Do Here?

You bring up a funny memory from a match I had with Scotty Townsend several years ago. I was faced with a tough shot on the money ball and I chose to play a weak safety because that's all I could come with at the time. After the match I asked Scotty if I did the right thing and he said, "Let me ask you this, who do you want shooting at the money ball, me or you?" :D

Scott broke that down now didn't he....

Shoot for your money JoeyA

I would complain about always being jacked up over the ****ing 8 ball for 2 minutes and then proceed to dog the safety that had no chance anyways.

This is one of those dam predicaments. I GOOD and easy safety doesn't seem to be something that I see. I might be forced to accept a weak safety and hope that I hook my opponent behind the nine ball which I didn't do in the layout. At least I will contain their banking because the side pocket is blocked by the 9 and the three ball. If I get lucky they will have to kick at the object ball.

CueTable Help

If I am feeling the part of a fool that day and think that I have the eyes of a eagle, I will just try to thin the two ball in the left pocket. I might make it, I might miss it and leave a shot or not leave a shot. :p

i agree i would hit the 2 on the right side an put the CB behind the 3-9 an 2 on the other side Rail

i'd shoot, but....

probably bank the two back up to the head rail and send the cue ball 2 rails behind tthe 9/3......

pushout the 6 to the side cushion leaving a kick safe

cut the 2 ball two rails to the 2nd diamond on the right side of the table and send the cueball by the 8

if you're co,fortable with the speed of the table, i like the first option.

BB:

I'm thinking brush the 2 ball ever so thin and let whitey track back up table creating distance up by (or past) the 8 ball and there's a chance for blockers as well.

The key is the thin brush on the 2 to keep it somewhere mid-footrail.

I agree with Brian that is the first shot I saw when I looked at the layout.

Took 3 swings at the shot last nite:

While it looks like a helluva tuff shot, cutting it in the hole left the following 2:

I guess the best defense is good offefnse.

BB;

Did you try to thin brush the right side of the 2 ball attempting to get whitey back up table by or past the 8 for the safe?

I did. :p
