recover "sticky"

Simonis video

Now I'll post in reguards to your original question. I just finished recording the 2 DVD set for Simonis on how to install your own bed cloth, and how to recover your rails. They'll be available for distribution later in Jan 2012...contact Felice at Simonis and place your order, $29.95 each, + s/h.

I'm hoping you mean 2011? I'll have some to carry in the store, and enjoy watching it myself. (I don't suppose the glue method is in there:smile:) People often want to recover their own table, and almost all of them are overwhelmed at some point, even with instruction. I've been covering tables for 20 years, and rarely do one where someone doesn't say 'I had no idea what a process this is' and I don't come close to the work I see in these pages. Always trying to learn, though. I tell DIYers that it all depends on what you want to end up with. Just because Picasso tells you how to paint, that doesn't mean yours will look like his.

Damit...got a year older and didn't even know it:D you're right though, next month, Jan 2011:D and no, didn't show the glueing method, waiting until I reformulate the Scotch Weld 10 into non-flamable first.

Good idea. I don't know exactly HOW flammable the stuff is, but I do know I was a little nervous at JOB's last week. Amazing how many people see fumes spewing out of a mason jar full of mystery liquid and come over to ask about it. Lit cigarette and all. LOL

Naaa...it's not flammable like gas or anything like that, but...in the winter time when I was building pool tables and I had a scrap pile of wood I wanted to burn, I'd pull the old glue out of my glue tray, ball it up place it in the middle of the burn pile...and light it...that's all I needed to start the wood burning....even in the freezing rain:D

You are correct! Gasoline has a flash point of - 45 degrees and 3m 10 has a flash point of 4 degrees. This means that 3m 10 produces vapor that can ignite or explode at any temperature above 4 degrees. It also has great vapor density at 18 inches or below. I use it on a daily basis in my shop but I have moved all of the outlets to 36 inches above the floor. For anyone who cares please read MSDS sheet on this product. It works great! BUT it requires caution and common sense when used!

Caution and common sense would be NOT waving your cig around over the jar while asking me "Wow, what's that ya got in that jar there?" LOL I was a little scared...and I'm fearless.
