Stream has been running today. Jim didnt sell tickets today for obvious reasons. He doesn't want to make fans unhappy.
Full event customers are able to watch now.

Jim doesn't know what to do, sell or not sell tickets for tonight !

What do you think ???

Should he, or should he not ???

Would you take a chance and buy it ???
 
If it is working I say sell spots, if it craps out REFUND your customers. I still want $8 back I paid to see live action not the replay.

Refunding would never be a problem. Accu-Stats has zero bandwidth cost if you don't watch. They would of course still have the cost of going there and attempting to broadcast.

Every year there is issues with this Casino and their internet. There may also be issues with Audio Video Webb and their payment system.

Last year when I did the PPV from the T-Town classic through Audio Video Webb, if I didn't have Sharken around to help people get connected it would have been a nightmare.

If someone logged off, the system hiccuped or whatever caused them to get disconnected, the system would not recognize my customers as being logged off, therefore they couldn't log on.

Jim and Pat do a fantastic job covering pool. I think everyone should realize that and take a breathe. They're working on it from their end the best they can. They have a lot at stake and want it be as good as it can be, as much as anyone.

Well,I just paid for it.sound and video is not near TAR,but if I dont see something other than Dippy do at this DCC I will give up on pool in general.lol
Its ok, but it seems to be working.
 
Your looking for opinions so here's mine..

No way on this green earth I would try to collect money considering.

Stream it, invite many, see if holds up.

Move on from there depending on the results.

"Charging" at this point is just poor taste. People have already paid and the product has come up way short. Accustats needs to prove to the customer and perhaps more importantly, to themselves, they can deliver a stream from this venue before collecting another cent.

Just my opinion

Right now Richie rich vs Francisco B one pocket match is 2-1 RR

Later will be Fatboy 10-ball match. LVC vs Stevie Moore.

If they have time for another match in between they will have one.
(will be Johnny Archer vs Jim Emerick)Just posted @ 8:20 going off @ 8:30

Remember its a hard format to schedule matches. Redraws and buy backs are a ***** for a streamer !

I know nothing of this streaming live stuff, sometimes can't make my cellphone to work, but can't they test this stuff before the event takes place. Sort of like yep were ready now by golly!!! Its like electricity and electronics and computers isn't it? It ain't the space shuttle!!!
 
I took a chance tonight-I dont mind taking one when i know im taking one. Not a big fan of unpleasant surprises.

I would say sell the access BUT if a customer asks for a refund then grant it. Happy customers are not going to ask for refunds.

We all know that you are at the mercy of the internet connection. That's understandable.

But I paid last year and I couldn't watch ANY of it. Then I sent an email and asked if I could have access to the recorded matches for a couple days and got ZERO answer.

So make a committment to communicate. That's all. It's LIVE so act like it and let your customers know that you are on top of their concerns.
 
I took a shot - I am on a really bad internet connection so if it works for me......

So far so good - slightly laggy - I shut off all other feeds and bandwidth hogs - audio is ahead of video. It''s kind of like pool radio :-)

yup JB, and I brang your last comment to this effect to Jim and I am sure he has made a note of it. The next time you are in contact with him he will bring it up I think. I sure he appreciates the good words you say also.

So far so good - the CTE Pro is struggling a little. :-(

I am guessing he is playing one of the CHAMPEENS who Lou says would play Stevie for everything they could beg borrow or steal.

Come on Stevie - I need some more CTE ammo - ah bummer he just sold out!!!

Darn it.
