There are only a handful of people left in the banks, and it looks like Alex and Ronnie Alcano are the only ones left without a loss. Right now they are playing each other.

I really hope Alex wins the banks. He is amazing and I really can't believe he hasn't won anything at the derby before.

Go Alex, it's time to take one down!!!

I'd love to see Alex win it too! He is so much fun to watch and his attitude is outstanding.. I spoke to him during a match where we were on side by side tables and he is as nice as they get.. Get em' Lion!

Go Alex !!!

I saw him once in a local pool hall here in Manila, he got a barstool and started watching me play pool, :) after a few racks he got a couple more barstool and started to sleep :( a few minutes after he fell

C'mon Alex !!!

He's got talent and a heart the size of a grand piano...
...but I can't see him winning the all-round title...
..he likes action too much

Alex is "The Man"

Alex won!

Beat Alcano in the final.(went until 4:00 am)
I heard he has to play 1 pocket at 10:00 AM:boring2::grin-square:

Junksecret...that picture is all too telling of alex...his eyes look bloodshot as he had probably just came off of playing for 18 hours or something. lol.

Brumback lost?

John was third, losing to Ronnie in the semis. He now has a 1st, 1st and a 3rd in the last three DCC Bank Pool events! Alex had a pretty good day, winning $2,440 in the One Pocket challenge and another 10K in the Banks. If he continues to do well in the One Pocket and 9-Ball, he has a chance to match Efren's near $50,000 score last year.

Brumback lost?

It was a very tough draw for John. He lost to Ochoa earlier, then beat Alex with 3 left to give Alex his first loss. They redrew with just John, Alex, and Ronnie Alcano left, each with 1 loss, and Alex got the bye and John had to play Ronnie. John got some bad rolls early on and Ronnie kept beating him to the shot and John never recovered his form. John's match just before that against Alex was incredible, including breaking and running 5 and out in the last rack.

Like a checking account?

Or would you prefer running?

The Lion is officially in the banking business....
..gonna git hisself a pinstriped suit....

He's now eligible for a government bail-out:wink::eek:

Alex Wins his 10:00 AM 1 Pocket Match

He's gonna have a long day.... and night probably playing tourny and action matches.
He better not play Dippy 18-4 when hes tired. :frown:

Justin said earlier today he talked to Alex. Alex walked up and said, "Guess what? I'm from Kentucky now!!!" That way Alex says stuff makes me crack up.

Yes ...they should give an award for the best line of the Derby

Guys, that *has* to be worthy of a T-shirt quote:

"Guess what? I'm from Kentucky now!"
-Alex Pagulayan, after winning the Derby City Classic 2011 Bank Pool Division

Justin, Chad: what say you?
-Sean

The Lion is back at it again. Only five left in the one pocket. Alex is the only one with no losses.

Shannon Daulton drew the bye. Alex is playing Strickland and Frost is playing SVB for the second time after giving him a loss yesterday (great match on Accu-stats if you get a chance to buy it).

Alex has all but locked up the all-around at this point. That guy is a beast. I hope he wins all three. What kind of Derby showing would that be???

I guess Dippy helped get him back in stroke!

I'm pulling for you, Alex!
