Bored so I had my South West cue X-rayed

A good friend of mine is a x-ray tech. I was bored so I took a visit to his job and put my South West put under the x-ray.
I am getting requests for pics to be sent. I will not send any pics at this time. I now know what a Pandora's box is.

Cuemakers please PM me and let me know your opinions about posting up the x-rays. Please do not post it in this thread.

hey all. more pics for sure. are there really any secrets that would be revealed? i actually dont know but anyway i won a lil bar tourney last nite. x-ray pics!!!!!!!!!

I own the cue for sure.
I removed the pics out of respect for the cuemakers in case it offended any of them.
I am not a cuemaker but I respect what they do and prefer to maintain the integrity of the profession and honor their opinions if it was in bad form to post the pics.

cool i dont have a full understanding of the cuemaking profession so its weird to me that an x-ray would be off limits but i trust ya and alot of the other opinions and such about pool that i've seen on this site. i could x-ray my pettit and it be the same technology and craftmanship that seemingly all aspire to.
 
In that wonderful French restaurant whose chef prepares such magnificant
meals that taste so wonderful......the last thing I want to do is watch while they prepare them.

I don't think you should post the x-rays.

I understand and appreciate your concern.

It's still your cue and you can do what you want with it, I'd think.

You should know that now that cue has absorbed enough radiation to be harmful to you. Send it to me immediately for disposal, and I won't even charge you a fee.....:D
 
Kerry Zieler, Zylr Cues, (RIP), was a radiologist and had access to a huge collection of the finest cues, and he x-rayed them all. He did not publish any of them, but adapted a little here, a little there, to his own work, from what I understand. This definitely would not be the first time somebody has x-rayed a cue, I seem to remember a Philippine cuemaker posting some.

Kerry was a cuemaker and kept them for personal viewing. Me not posting the xrays is not out of line then.

Post the pictures already.

Had my Szamboti x-rayed years ago by a dentist.He was really curious
why I raved about Gus being the best cuemaker ever.
If I find the pictures I will post them.

Mind you..him being a dentist and all....
...he then tried to sell me a bridge...:eek:

What I think about that is we have so many great cue makers here on az
I don' believe what you could show would be a big suprise at all.
