One pcket instruction vids!

Well im basically lookin for the most informative one hole instructional vid, I been contemplating frost's dvd but then there's gabe's dvd to. I may eventually get both but im very new to 1hole played prolly 30 games my whole life. So i would like to get a dvd that explains the rules and regulations also.

I guess what im tryin to say is i would like to purchase whichever one is geared more toward the beginning 1hole player.

Any ideas on the best one for the beginning 1hole player? Thanks in advance.
 
Scott Frost videos

I definitely liked the Scott Frost instructional DVD. I bought the combination of it with the Scott Frost / Cliff Joyner match. It is clearly a case of the whole being better than the sum of the parts. Either alone is good. The combination of videos is great. The match was excellent. And on DVD, you can stop between shots, analyze what you would do, and then see how they handled each shot. I learned a lot from the two.

Be sure and get Grady's set, and if you can, get the two DVDs by Willie Jopling, aka: Bill Marshall, if you can find them. Although they are somewhat dated, they still contain a wealth of basic information. Scott and Gabe's discs are a must. They professionally demonstrate today's aggressive approach to One Pocket.
And speaking of One Pocket. Since it is arguably the premier game of all the cue sport games I think it has earned and demands a certain amount of respect. Don't call it one hole. :)

On my site you can purchase Gabe Owen's first 1pkt DVD, One Pocket My Way for beginners/intermediate for $29.95. I also carry Scott Frost's Power One Pocket, all 3 of Grady's DVDs, the complete set of Cliff Joyner's Killer One Pocket series (the only one that still has them), Billy Incardonas Instructional 1pkt, and within a couple weeks I will have Toledo Joe's, Game Busting One Pocket, a great new work, destined to be a big favorite.

My apologies to the Beard, for not mentioning his great DVDs on banking, which by-the-way, is an intregal part of One Pocket. I myself have the complete set. Sorry Freddy. :)
 
Thanks everyone for the responses! Yes i think i will look into gabes dvd on the beards website sounds like he has a lot of options on one pocket dvd's. I do have banking with the beard 1 and 2 and they are wonderful videos! I have always had trouble with banks and these vids have helped me.

My main prob with banks is understanding how or where to aim to make them. But it seems banks are more of a speed and feel type shot. It's kinda why i steered clear of one pocket for so long because my bank game was weak lol! Im starting to admire the thinking that is involved in playing one pocket and i like a game that makes you use your head, and get creative.

I have Scotts, gabes, freddies, cliffs, grady's , and they all show there ways of playing the game, but, I have to say , I think Scott gets to the points and shows it the best.

I've heard good things about the Jopling tapes/(dvd?). I haven't found them yet. Last I heard, akaTrigger might have found a set. If anybody has a line on them please PM me.
