Alex calls out Shane to Play!

Alex joined Justin in the commentators booth today, during the 10 ball bar table tourney and he sent out a message loud and clear that he wants to play Shane.

He actually sent out a plea (jokingly of course) to all the listeners to help him make it happen.

In fact just last week during the Swannee tourney he also showed up at the TAR booth and Justin asked him then if he was interested in doing a rematch with Shane. His reply was that Shane keeps saying "sure" but then never actually does and keeps ducking him.

Well I'm sure that a lot of people other than myself would love to see that re-match happen.Their first match (3 years ago now) is already an all time classic. The problem is of course that its Shane's call. He is in a position where he is making excellent dough these days at easier games so why risk it playing a lion?

No disrespect to Earl Strickland but c'mon Shane! Earl is giving up 20 years in age. A huge disadvantage in a long race. everyone knows hes a dog except Earl.

Shane used to say that he would play 10 ball anyone anywhere any amount when he first got his huge break going and started to play really good. What happenned to that Shane?

For the record Alex has never ducked anyone.
(for that matter neither has George St. Pierre, Manny Pacquiao, Mike Tyson, or anyone claiming to be the best)

I have a ton of respect of for what the guys at TAR are doing and they should be able to rely on support from the best players to make the best matches available (especially if its PPV.)

So c'mon Shane get a heart transplant and give us the match we want to see!!!

We are talking about two of my favorite five players in the world and I don't think anyone should try to humble Shane.

Get real, is Earl really a dog? Earl has been doing very well in big time tourneys lately. Lets see what happens next month with Shane and Earl and then let the players work on new matchups instead of trying to instigate anything.

I know, its some wolfing going on to try to get some action but I know as a player that sometimes you just need to focus on one thing at a time.

It's not that he's "scared" of Alex, I think that it's Alex's personality that gets on his nerves a little bit. It's just irritating and I know how Shane feels as I know a local player around here who I know i'm better then but won't play because he's simply a pain in the @ss.

We seen a little bit of it at Derby in the 14.1 finals.

poor taste

the original post sucks! It is really poor taste to make a post like that... just a mindless blast without merit

anyone that plays at the level Shane does has a bunch of heart, and, given that it is know that Shane typically puts up his own money in cash matches it could be said that Shane has heart and his opponents' backers have heart!

I notice your post only mentions Shane... Who is this Shane?

There is a Shane Van Boening fellow that has no fear of anyone, that steps up to the plate and plays anyone, who has ice in his veins and takes down most of his big money matches, not to mention, he has a long list of big tournament wins. In fact, he just won the Derby City Classic Onepocket division and won the All Around too.

This Shane fellow... him and John Mars will step up to any game.

This Shane fellow, he's one special guy... got his sh1t together too in life.

In fact, if you would like to catch this Shane fellow destroy Alex Pagulayan 3-0 in Onepocket to move into the Finals at the DCC.... as soon as this video is done processing on the server, I will make it available for all the world to see. Later this morning, I'm thinking.

This Shane fellow......yeah, he the real deal!:D

Alex is a throw-back to the action days when many would natter
at each other like gin players do.
I'd like to see more races to 21 and MORE woofing.
Alex aint got a mean bone in his body...
..and he makes Shane smile a lot

Think I'm gonna post a few action stories from when people enjoyed
competing more and entertained each other.
A lot of that is lost today..partly because of loud sound systems...
...in the action days...everyone got DOWN a different way

I'd love to see the rematch too.. I was in Vegas watching the match live when Alex made the huge comeback to win the set.. Heartbreaking but some damn good pool IMHO..

As far as heart, SVB has a heart bigger than Godzilla so give me a flipping break OP.. You ain't got a clue!

Gordml, I feel you brother. Hard for two top players to make a game they both like, usually centers around the table. It's always great when they hook up. Hope they play again, they might need to do a race to 150 or race to 100 win by 10.

Speaking of heart, I think Alex has more heart then anyone, including Shane. Need I remind you guys that he did come back from being down 22 games to Shane?

I do hope they play again, but I don't think Shane is too eager to. He definitely wants to win very, very bad, but another lose to Alex might be devastating.

It is really funny how people that have not accomplished much in their pool career can degrade a player. There is a way to woof respectfully. IMO, this is very disrespectful.

Why don't you show some heart and ask Shane, who needs a transplant, to play some.

Obviously the OP doesnt know what hes talking about. Its not like Shane has nothing going on...World 8ball right now, SBE in two weeks, TAR match one week after that. Im sure Shane will want to avenge the loss to Alex and make it happen.
