5 Books and 5 Videos

Great post OP, added this thread to my comp's favorites for future reference.
 
I'm a big fan of Tucker's "Guaranteed Improvement" book/dvd combo of drills. Doesn't cost a lot, gives you a great way to measure your progress, and shows you both via text and video how to complete the drills.
 
the #1 video YOU need to see is the one of YOU stroking a pool cue...

that alone will do more for your game than all the "for sale" books and videos put together...
 
Books:

Pretty much what Dr. Dave posted. Love the Byrne and Capelle books, basically learned to play by reading those books, 99 Critical Shots, and a few others. Lot of information and well presented and diagrammed.


Videos:
  • Grady Mathews Kicking instructional videos
  • Briesath and Byrne videos are great for beginners
  • PAT videos/books - Great practice drills and a lot of good info too for all skill levels
  • Mika Immonen videos (3 volumes) - These are well presented and also good information progressing from beginning to advanced concepts
  • Accustats match tapes - Too many great ones to list, but I learned so much watching these and listening to the commentary
