Best stream I've ever seen. By far the MOST entertaining. Justin & company did a super job. I regret not buying the other days (I only purchased the last day).

Dave

I liked it enough to pay for a free stream. Justin is the man when it comes to streaming matches.

The only thing that would have been better is if Shane made a come back and won. Other than that is was great, still a little upset I lost 5000 vcash:sad:

The stream quality and TAR were awesome!

The Gaff table with weird mis-shaped pockets which didn't allow you to shoot every ball in the way it needed was a shame to watch.

I put this match-up just ahead of the Morra vs Oscar match, where they played rotation on a table that was too tight for rotation.

I'm all for safety play in rotation, but in this Earl/SVB match many many safes were just distance between the cueball and object ball because of the gaff table.

You can flame me if you like, but this is just my opinion.

For me, being a small part of it was amazing. By far the most enjoyable TAR event i've been a part of. I'm still getting calls and messages from friends who think it was the best one yet. I think things will only get better. Justin, Dave and Nathan did an absolutely amazing job with the stream and camera work. I just sit in awe at how much time and work they put in to making it as top-notch as possible for the fans.

Best TAR match yet.. 2nd best for me was the SVB vs. Alex match when Alex came back at the end..

A different perspective

I was there in Youngstown for the first night. Sitting in the bleachers from about 7:30 to about 2:00 was a little much.

I'm a little surprised that it is getting such high ratings. The main part of the room, where the table was located, had a high ceiling, but the the location where the main robotic camera was located, had a lower ceiling and this forced the camera to be lower than they would have chosen. I looked at the in room screen several times in order to get a better angle on the table, but the camera angle was never better than the view from my seat because it was so low.

So the room was not ideal, but the entertainment value was high.

Lotta good things about this match

Earl was the big draw..offset nicely by a cool Shane.
TAR and Runout did a great job.
Kudos to Mike,Mike, and the Marsman for the financing.

But something else doesn't get enough mention.
The people on chat and the posters on all the threads.
You guys had me laughing all weekend..some great one-liners...:killingme::clapping::rotflmao1:

I mentioned this in another thread. Saturday night after day 2, Justin, Nathan, Dave, Shane and myself all went out to breakfast. We spent alot of that time going through threads and laughing our asses off at the Earlock Holmes photoshops. The fan participation made this even more enjoyable for those of us that were there putting the show on. I think it was a huge success for everyone involved, both there and at home.

Tell me Mark Cantrill isn't jumping for joy that this thing went off like it did. People that are kicking themself for not watching SVB/Earl will surely be more inclined to spring for the Archer/Earl PPV now.

And I hope the #'s are astronomical for it. Mark puts a ton of effort into the game and I don't get the impression he's putting in an offer to buy Fatboy's house with all the income he's making here. :grin-square:

I couldn't even watch the feed, because my computer will not stream smoothly...it's a couple seconds and stop, a couple seconds and stop. Anybody offer any suggestions as to how to "fix" this. One friend told me it was because I was trying to watch streaming through AOL...so I switched to IE. That worked for a while, but now I am back to the same problems...which don't allow me to watch these streamed matches. Help anyone?

I didn't realize that people still use AOL. :yikes: :bash:

Without knowing anything about your computer and how it's configured, my first guess is that you may not have enough memory (RAM) on your computer, especially if you have multiple applications running at the same time. Buying some addtional RAM may help here. When streaming, you may want to close down your other applications. Rebooting your computer beforehand may free up some resources too. You could try using Firefox (www.mozilla.org) instead of IE. If you're using a slow connection, it may be time to upgrade to a much faster broadband connection.
