I suppose ONYX tip is the most expensive tip so far compared to the latest in demand tip today...the KAMUI Black...but never did i heard any comment if there are users of this onyx tip..

Any one there who had already used this kind of stuff with their shaft...Just for curiosity I'm planning to buy and use this tip for my 314 shaft...

Many thanks !

:grin::grin::grin:

I have one on a Tiger XPRO and it's a really good tip. You should atleast try it. I went from a Kamui Black to the Onyx and the first ball you hit, you notice a difference.

I'm using onyx on several shafts of mine, and I have used Kamui black SS, they are both a very nice tips, but for me I liked onyx a little more, don't know exactly why, but I just loved it, I also have a kamui black soft on my case, I save it for later to try it on, but right now I'm so pleased with my Onyx tips, they are installed on 3 shafts that I use.

I switched from the Kamui black Med to the Onyx and really love the tip.. It's all about preference but I really like mine! YMMV

@asbani and mojoe......thanks for the info because i'm just quite curious comparing the two noting the price and maybe to know more about this two tips how they perform according to hit and applied stroke maybe...

thank you guys !!!

Onyx

I like the tip, it is comparable to a Soft Kamui Black. It is a little harder than an Everest but has a similar play / feel. Overall a very good tip, and much easier to install because it cuts a lot cleaner than other tiger tips (eg. Sniper, Everest).

They are a nice firm tip, not too hard and have great feedback for a medium hard tip. They hit a little more crisply than the Sniper tip but yet offer that solid, full feel, I prefer something with a little more ZING like the Tiger Hard but the Onyx is definitely a solid choice.

It is all about feel.
I tried it and did not like it. Only kept in on for like 2 weeks before pulling it off.
I love the tan Kamui (medium) but thta is just my $.02

Exactly, tips are all about personal preference and the best thing to do is go out and try out as many tips as you can. Some tips really bring cues to life while others will deaden the hit there is only one way to find out what tip works best on your cue, put one on there and find out.

I've got a couple of shafts with the new Tiger Onyx tip.

One is on a brand new custom cue that my cue maker recently finished. The shaft with the Onyx tip is the one that I have been using recently. I also have a second shaft that he made for me. It has a Kamui Black Medium tip on it.

I also had my cue maker put an Onyx tip on a new Timeless Timber shaft that he made for me for my first DJ custom cue.

Initial impressions of the Onyx tip... I like 'em.

Which Kamui Black?

Tlayne,

1.) What kind of shaft was your Kamui on?

2.) Which Kamui Black did you have; super soft, soft, medium, or hard?

3.) What differences did you notice between the Onyx on your Tiger X Pro and the Kamui you were using?

Thanks,

Muziq
