I loved this little circus shot.

If Efren has the famous "Z" shot, I have dubbed this shot the "VW in Traffic" shot. Yea, I know not really a VW, but closes enough. :)

It is at the 1:30:55 mark.

It would be interesting to know if he was actually trying to go that way, or if he was hitting it hard hoping to carom into another ball and have the cb end up to where he could at least see the 2, and maybe even get a shot on it. If he was trying it that way, that is one heck of a position shot!

I really think he was trying it, or at least part of it and hoping to get a little lucky. None the less, it was a fun shot to watch. :)

Whats with Ken Shuman????

That was great position that Mike got on that shot. Just wondering what was up with Ken the ref. moving all around every time Mike got down on the shot though. That was just wrong!!!!

The way he looked at prior to shooting it sure looks like that was the plan to me. I don't know if he had pictured soo perfectly but I think he saw it coming off that 3rd cushion pretty good.

I agree!! I think he was trying the shot and in the back of his mind thinking that he had to get a little lucky on it.

You've got to have a little luck to get through THAT many balls, and he got some. Regardless, it WAS a great shot and excellent foresight to see it having a chance to come about. Probably the turning point in the match.

That shot should end up in a Billiards Digest magazine's "Stroke of Genius" article in the future.

I love Shuff's remarks. He's a great commentator! Good at everything really.

(maybe I can beat him at Galaga!) lol

The man is simply a genius. It has been a joy to watch his game progress upwards towards the stratosphere over the past few years. He was definitely the calmest, coolest, most confident, and most consistent player I saw during that event - by a mile!

that was a great shot! I also liked the jump shot on the 2ball against jason klatt that he drew back 4 feet to get shape on the 3 ball

I was watching this live, and it thought to myself, every ball but the 8ball was in the path, he missed them all. What a shot:thumbup:

I fully believe that we will see him on a Mosconi Cup team within the next five years. Brandon Shuff too. These guys (and a few others) are the future of American pool.

You can clearly see him, aiming up the contact points on the 2nd and 3rd rails.

To me the best part is him playing it off like he did what he's supposed to and just runing them out after that for 7-7.

I love watching a player with supreme confidence. That is what the game of 9 ball and 10 ball demand.
